Product description Tectis Sitko tapesystem consist of Sitko Flex, Sitko Duo, Sitko windbarrier tape and Sitko Elastic tape. Sitko Flex is flexible tape consists of polyetylene membrane backing coated with polyacylic adhesive. The tape is available in 50mm and 100mm widths. Sitko Duo is a double sided tape consistes of PET backing coated with polyacryic adhesive. The tape is available in 38mm width. Sitko windbarrier tape is a diffusion open tape consists of HDPE backing coated with acrylic adhesive. The tape is available in 60mm and 100mm widths. Sitko Elastic consists of polyolefin backing coated with butyl rubber adhesive. This tape is available in 50mm and 88mm widths. 4. Fields of application Sitko Flex is used to seal overlapping joints in windbarrier and vapour barrier. An example of application area is shown in Figure 1. Sitko Duo is used to seal overlapping joints in vapour barrier. The tape can also be used to seal joints between PE foil and steel profiles. It is assumed that the sealing on PE foil is continuesly clamped with batten or plates. Fig. 1 Sitko Flex used for sealing vapour barrier and beam joints. Sitko windbarrier tape is used to seal overlapping joints in windbarrier. Sitko Elastic is used to seal ventilation ducts to vapour barrier. 5. Properties Adhesion Sitko Flex has satisfactory adhesion to the surface of untreated wood, Gypsum plasterboard, Diffo proof wind barrier and PE foil (Vapour barrier). Sitko Duo has satisfactory adhesion to the surface of PE foil (Vapour barrier) and galvanized steel. Sitko windbarrier tape has satisfactory adhesion to the surface of diffo Proof windbarrier. Sitko Elastic has satisfactory adhesion to the surface of PE foil (vapour barrier) and galvanized steel. Accelerated aging test was carried out for a period of 14 days in a climate simulator, in accordance with NT Build 495, and 24 weeks in a heat chamber at 70 ° C, in accordance with EN 1296. 6. Environmental aspects Substances hazardous to health and environment Tectis Sitko tapesystem contain no hazardous substances with priority in quantities that pose any increased risk for human health and environment. Chemicals with priority include CMR, PBT or vPvB substances. Effect on indoor environment The products are not regarded as emitting any particles, gases or radiation that have a perceptible impact on the indoor climate, or to have any significant impact on health. Waste treatment/recycling The products shall be sorted as residual waste on the building/demolition site. The products shall be delivered to an authorized waste treatment plant for energy recovery. Environmental declaration No environmental declaration (EPD) has been worked out for the products. between SINTEF Building and Infrastructure and Tectis AS concerning Technical Approval. 9. Basis for the approval The technical approval is based on verification of product properties from type testing, documented in the following reports: - SINTEF Building and Infrastructure. Report 102008555 dated 20.05.2015 (Durability test report of Tectis Sitko tapes). - SP report nr: 5P02955-1 dated 22-04.2015 (Emission test report of Sitko Flex tape). - SP report nr: 5P02955-2 dated 22-04.2015 (Emission test report of Sitko Duo tape). - SP report nr: 5P02955-3 dated 27-04.2015 (Emission test report of Sitko wind barrier tape). - SP report nr: 5P02955-4 dated 28-04.2015 (Emission test report of Sitko Elastic tape). 10. Marking The products shall be marked on the packaging with the name of the product, roll dimensions and production code or date. The approval mark for SINTEF Technical Approval No. 20488 may also be used. 7. Special conditions for use and installation Tektis Sitko tapesystem should be used on substrates where the adhesion properties are documented with satisfactory results. TG 20448 All surfaces of the substrates must be dry, clean and free of dust, oil and grease prior to application of Sitko Tektic Tapes. Approval mark There must be no tension in the adhesive surface after assembly. The tapes can not be used to hold together subjects where the adhesive surface is exposed to continuous strain. When using Sitko Duo on PE foil it is assumed that the sealing is continuesly clamped with batten or plates. 8. Factory production control Tectis Sitko tapes are subject to supervisory factory production and product control according to the contract 11. Liability The holder/manufacturer has sole product responsibility according to existing law. Claims resulting from the use of the product cannot be brought against SINTEF beyond the provisions of Norwegian Standard NS 8402. 12.
