USM 5.1 Ethanol Sensor-Module
Functionality:
The USM 5.1 sensor module works with only
one metal oxide semiconductor sensor. The
functionality is based on the patent pending
“Interaktive-Multi-EffektVerfahren”
(IME)
[English: interactive multi-effect process] from
E.T.R., which uses a specific gas sensor for
each gas type.
With IME it is not the ohmic resistance of the
gas sensor that is analyzed, as is common
practice, but the electronic charge shift that is
generated by the target gas. This method offers
extremely high stability over long duration in
comparison with the currently used SensorSystems.
At the instant of exceeding a predefined
concentration of a gas a digital output is
activated which can run an alert or open a
ventilation flap.
