Holiday Wreaths
Objective:
Celebrate the holiday and demonstrate one use of recycled goods
Indicate Target Group:
Our Administrators
Resources Used:
recycled water bottles, paint, glue guns, ribbon
Description:
We, the JMHS Student Council, recycled water bottles to make wreaths. We first took
the empty water bottles and poured a little bit of green paint in each and shook each up
(put the cap back on before you shake it). This was to coat the entire inside of the
bottle with the green paint. Then we painted the caps red. We glued nine of the
bottles together at the 'shoulders'. We had to reinforce the 'back' of the wreath with
more glue. Then we created a large bow out of ribbon and glued the bow on the front
(lower half) of the wreath. We presented these to our administrators.
(our attached picture is one that was done by C.C. Winn High School without the
green/red paint).
