The names of a few families and individuals who could use a home visit have come to our attention.

The Apostles’ Creed (from Luther’s Small Catechism, Ambassador Publications, 2007)
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth:
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
Born of the Virgin Mary, Suffered under Pontius Pilate, Was Crucified, dead and
buried; He descended into hell; The third day He rose again from the dead; He
ascended into heaven, And is seated on the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
From where He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit; the Holy Christian Church, The Communion of Saints;
The Forgiveness of sins; The Resurrection of the body; And the Life everlasting.
Amen.

(Those who wish to sit during
the Prayers of the Church may be seated at this time.)
After each petition the Pastor will pray: “We ask this in Jesus Name”.
Congregational Response: “Thank you Lord Jesus”.
If angels filled the skies tonight
would I hear them sing?
Would tomorrow find me saying
it was all a dream?
Would I leave my bed and go
outside to hear their song?
Would I go on sleeping
until the morning dawned?
If a stranger knocked upon my door tonight
in the deepest need, in my life would there be room
for anyone but me?
Would I hear the voice of God
within a Baby’s cry?
Would I open up my heart
and welcome him inside?
Would I miss the miracle?
Would I miss the miracle?
Would I see the King,
Would I see the King,
or would my life be so consumed
with ordinary things?
Would I miss the miracle?
Would I miss the miracle?
Would I see the King,
Would I see the King,
or would my life be so consumed
with ordinary things?
All who believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior are welcome
to come to the Lord’s Table to partake of Holy Communion today.

Today we light the second candle in the Advent Wreath as we mark the passage of the four weeks in
Advent leading up to the celebration of Christmas. Last Sunday we began by lighting the Hope or
Prophecy Candle and today we add to it by lighting the Bethlehem or Peace Candle. This candle
reminds us to think about the preparations that were made for the coming of the Prince of Peace.
