STEPHEN CURRY NOTES • • • • Curry’s triple‐double: Curry recorded the first triple‐double of his career in a win over the L.A. Clippers on 2/10 by registering 36 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds. Curry became the first Warrior rookie to record a triple‐double since Chris Webber in 1993 and joined a list with some of the greatest players to ever suit up by becoming just the sixth rookie in NBA history to post a 35‐point, 10‐assist, 10‐rebound performance. Stephen had a total of three (3) 30+ point games and three (3) 13+ assist games in February. He is the first rookie to record at least three 30‐points games and three 13‐assist games in the same calendar month since Oscar Robertson in February 1961. On February 25 vs. Denver, Curry registered his second game of the year with at least 30 points and 12 assists, joining Oscar Robertson and Michael Jordan as the only players to have more than one such game in their rookie year. • • • • He was named Western Conference Rookie of the Month for January by averaging 19.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 2.00 steals in 15 games during the month. Also during the month, Curry joined Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant as the only players in the NBA in January to average at least 15.0 points per game while shooting at least 48.0% from the field, 48.0% from long range and 89.0% from the line. In fact, according to Elias Sports Bureau, Curry is the first rookie in NBA history to post such numbers during a full calendar month (minimum five games played). Curry registered 24 points and 15 assists in the Warriors victory over Sacramento on 2/17 to become the first rookie to score at least 24 points and hand out at least 15 assists in a game since Allen Iverson did it for Philly on 4/18/97 (32 points, 15 assists). On January 5 at Denver, Curry went 6‐of‐6 from beyond the arc which tied the Warriors’ franchise record for most three‐pointers made without a miss in a single game.
