You will have a limited amount of time in the Commons to complete this project. As in class, off-task behaviors will NOT be tolerated. This project is considered an assessment ‒ talking will not be allowed! PART 1 - COMMONS - Working Map (RoughDraftKey.pdf) Grid demonstration: pay attention for this part, or you will not know what to do. 1. Find exact location of all items in the room. 2. Number each item and write a description of it on the rough draft copy of the map. i.e. “item 1: Tissue box 1” PART 2 ‒ Map Features 3. Using the inventory list of all items convert all items to a component of a feudal community, i.e. Item 1: Tissue box 1 becomes Serf s houses 4. Decide how to represent the item graphically on the map and on the map key. In other words, give each item it’s own color and/or symbol. “Serf’s houses” could all be Brown, for example. PART 3: FINAL MAP 5. Copy the location of the items from the Rough Draft to the Final Map. Be sure to use the symbol/color you created in Step 4. 6. Identify the person which goes with each item; For example, Serf s work in the fields and Nobles live in the castle. 7. Title your map and put a compass rose on it. 8. Check for neatness and color.
