Frequently Asked Questions and Other Business Office Information:
How do I Confirm My Classes? All students must accept the Terms and Conditions Form online for your
registration to be complete for any term or semester, even if you currently have paid in full. Students who have
not settled their account by the deadline, will have their registration dropped. There is a $250 late fee to add
those classes back in. Know the deadlines. Check the Academic Calendar. Check your CBU Email!
What Happens if my Registration is Late? If you wait until the first week of class to register for your classes
there will be $250 late registration fee charge at the time you register. You will also need to “Settle your
Account” at that time in order to start your classes.
How do I get my Bill and Make a Payment? Bills are only available online through your CashNet account.
After logging into Banner Web, you will go to Student Services, Student Accounts and then to the “Entrance to
CashNet” where you will be able to see your Schedule Bills at the beginning of each Term or Semester. This is
also where you will access your monthly bills and where you will make your online payments. Students will
receive Emails when a new bill is ready for viewing.
I am an adult student. Why can’t my Spouse or a Friend pay my bill for me? In accordance with Federal
regulations, the Adult Evening Student must handle all of their student account affairs. The Business Office
cannot give information or process payments for anyone other than the Adult Professional Studies student. That
is why we encourage all students to take advantage of the online processes. The student can set up anyone on
CashNet as an authorized payer, which will give them online access to view your bill and to make payments.
Semester Payment Plan- How Does the Payment Plan Work?
Any delinquencies will result in holds to the student’s account and records.
Adult Professional Studies Students only attending one Term in a Semester will be required to pay 50% to
settle the account with the balance due 4 weeks later. All students are required to accept the “Terms &
Conditions” agreement.
What do I need to conduct business at the Business Office ?– To conduct business at the Business Office, all
students will be required to show a photo ID and present their CBU ID# (your CBU photo ID Card is preferred).
We must verify your information before we can give you account information, take a payment or give you a
refund or work study check. This is in accordance with the federal regulations. All students are encouraged to
manage their account online.
How do I find the Deadlines? All Students must “Settle their Accounts” no later than the week before their
classes start. Make sure that you are aware of all the deadlines and settle your account before the drop date to
prevent your classes from being dropped. Different programs have different dates so please check the
Academic Calendar for deadlines. Drop dates will be sent to all students via CBU Email before each session.

How do I get a Refund? - The recommended way to get a Refund is to sign up for ERefunds in your CashNet
account. (Log into Banner Web, Current Students, Student Services, Student Accounts, Entrance to
CashNet.)
When are ERefunds processed? – ERefunds are processed each week on Tuesday evenings through CashNet
for deposit into your bank account no later than Friday of that same week. ERefunds are not processed during
Add/Drop periods.

website or Business Office web page and fax or email it to the Business Office or come by the Business Office

processed during add/drop periods.
What is the difference in “Dropping” or “Withdrawing” from classes? – If you have registered for a class
and decide that you need to “drop” that class, it must be done before the “add/drop” period is completed. Once
that period is over, this situation becomes a “withdrawal” on your student records. In most cases, the add/drop
period concludes by the end of the first week of classes. Consult the academic calendar for the exact “add/drop”
dates for each term or semester.
Depending on the program that you are in, payment ramifications may exist if you completely withdraw from
classes. Please see the CBU catalog for information regarding tuition adjustments.
Information regarding these percentages is listed in the CBU Catalog under Policy for Withdrawal from Class.
