Property Maintenance

Community Pride
W
ell-maintained homes and businesses
demonstrate both personal and
community pride while making Fairborn an
appealing place to live and visit.
Owning a home or business is a major
investment. Proper maintenance helps owners
maintain their property values, enhance the
appearance of our community, and ensure the
safety of our residents.
The City’s housing inspection program
assists property owners in retaining and
increasing their investment while promoting a
safe environment for the residents of Fairborn.

Guide to
Property
Maintenance
Getting rid of unwanted household items is
as close as your curb. Waste Management
will take most items with the regular trash
removal. For large items such as appliances,
water heaters or furniture, call Waste
Management at 1-800-583-1144 for a special
pickup at no additional charge.
Signs, Signs, Signs
Do your part to keep our community looking
clean by not placing signs in the right-ofway or on utility poles (Ordinance 1174.05).
City staff will remove illegally placed signs.
Construction signs should be removed when
the work is complete.
Junk/Inoperable/
Unlicensed Vehicles
Unlicensed, inoperable, or junk vehicles
create an eyesore in our community.
Storing these vehicles is also a violation
of City ordinance. Building Inspection
and the Police Department monitor our
neighborhoods for illegal vehicles.
