One Score And Four
“And all round the throne were twenty four seats: and on the seats I saw twenty four elders sitting, clothed in
white clothing; and on their heads were crowns of gold.” Revelation 4:4
This vision in Heaven is Awesome, An incredible sight exemplifying the glory of God. “And
out of the throne came lightning and thundering and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire
burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.” Revelation 4:5. Bible scholars
believe the 24 elders represent the entire church as they give Glory, honor, praise and thanks
to God. And in the Spirit of Course because the Hour is coming and is now when the true
worshipper will worship God in “Spirit” and in truth. This is the decision we make each day,
to follow the path of the flesh or the spirit, Paul talks about this here; “I speak after the
manner of men because of the frailty of your flesh: for as you have given yourselves servants to
uncleanness and to sin unto sin; so now give yourselves as servants to righteousness unto
holiness.” Romans 6:19 and further;
“And so it is written, the first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a
Life giving spirit. Nevertheless that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural;
and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is
the Lord from heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the
heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy,
we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.” 1 Corinthians 15:45-49. God’s Grace knows no
bounds “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was granted to me was
not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which
was with me.” 1 Corinthians 15:10. To bear the image of the Heavenly, that is the fate of the
Changed life that trusts in the life changing power of Jesus.
“And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.
And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and
the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. And he said, let me go,
for the day breaks. And he said, I will not let you go, except you bless me. And he said to him,
what is your name? And he said, Jacob. And he said, your name shall now be Israel: for as a
prince you have power with God and with men, and have prevailed. And Jacob asked him, and
said, tell me, I pray, your name. And he said, Why is it you don’t know my name? And he
blessed him there. And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to
face, and my life is preserved.” Genesis 32:24-30. A life changed, changing the course of lives
to follow. Gods grace from creation, like a snowball rolling downhill until Jesus comes back,
when we will see Him as He is. The first borne of all of creation “For in him we live, and move,
and have our being; as certain as our own poets have said, for we are also his offspring.” Acts
17:28
