included in your submission. If predicted, please state what model or method is used. All answers need to address how
innovation has been incorporated/demonstrated in each of the following 4 areas and please be as specific as
possible about how your project is better than typical practice:
1. Impact to Performance: progressive systems that, for example, result in reduced energy use, improved air quality,
support waste diversion and generation reduction, or support building management processes in ways that enhance
efficiency and environmental stewardship. (500 words maximum)
2. Impact to community (social): systems and/or approaches to green building that involve and/or enhance the surrounding community in a positive manner and/or involve the community in green building and environmental initiatives. Community is defined as any of the following: immediate building community (occupants); broader community
of the organization in other locations; surrounding community. (500 words maximum)
3. Impact to occupants: systems and/or approaches that enhance occupant well-being and/or involve occupants in
green building and environmental initiatives in a meaningful and/or transformative manner. (500 words maximum)
4. Responsible products and materials: Green building approaches that incorporate methods, materials and thinking
that is considerate of local climate conditions of the region as well as locally sourced, reycled, reclaimed and re-purposed products and materials. (500 words maximum)
