As part of his support of the Unified Relay Across America that coincides with the 2015
Special Olympics World Summer Games in Los Angeles next month, singer/songwriter
Aloe Blacc will pay a visit to Tim’s Place to meet and eat with owner and Special
Olympics athlete Tim Harris before traveling to Santa Fe to carry in the World Games
Flame of Hope torch.
Later that evening from 6pm – 8pm, the Unified Relay Across America will host a free
musical celebration at the Santa Fe Plaza celebrating the arrival of the 2015 World
Games Flame of Hope torch. The evening includes live music, comments from key
Special Olympics supporters, and a ceremonial passing of the Torch. The musical
guest is Baracutanga—a local New Mexican band that offers a “flavor of South
America with rhythms of Peru , Brazil, Colombia and more, this experienced group of
musicians will keep you dancing all night.”
