Restorative yoga involves getting into a
comfortable position with the help of blocks,
blankets and bolsters and lying quietly.
This practice is a nurturing practice that
“works” by stimulating the parasympathetic
nervous system in a way that works to heal
the effects of mental and physical stress.
This workshop is for yogis of all levels and
for those who have never practiced yoga
at all. Participants will practice a gentle,
slow, stretchy, luxuriously calming asana
sequence. This part of the practice will
unwind and unravel the knots and tightness
in our bodies that are an inevitable result
of our busy, and often stressful, days.
The second half of the hour takes us
through several restorative yoga asanas.
