Biggest Winner February 22 – April 1 Various Days and Times Member: $395/Non-Member: $485 Our most intensive weight loss program designed for participants who need help establishing healthy habits to lose weight. This program uses the Four Pillars of Mindset, Nutrition, Movement, and Recovery to bring life-changing results. Teams of 6 will work with a degreed and certified trainer 4 days per week for 6 weeks and each participant will be given a calorie goal and a meal plan to follow written by one of our Registered Dietitians. Each week includes a weigh in, total calorie check from the previous week, fun workout routines, and 30 minutes of yoga to restore the body and revitalize the mind. This life-affirming and participative program is modeled after the acclaimed MBSR Program at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. Classes provide techniques to help participants cope with the stress of cancer, heart disease, chronic pain, anxiety and depression, autoimmune disease, eating disorders, diabetes, work and home-life pressures, grief and other conditions. The program consists of seven weekly classes, each two hours in length, and a half-day Saturday Retreat, providing guided instruction on meditation, gentle stretching and yoga, and group discussion to increase mindfulness in our everyday lives. This practice is a nurturing practice that “works” by stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system in a way that works to heal the effects of mental and physical stress. This workshop is for yogis of all levels and for those who have never practiced yoga at all. Participants will practice a gentle, slow, stretchy, luxuriously calming asana sequence. This part of the practice will unwind and unravel the knots and tightness in our bodies that are an inevitable result of our busy, and often stressful, days. The second half of the hour takes us through several restorative yoga asanas.
