Members of the MCLA community may borrow a bicycle from Freel Library similar to
borrowing a book. The Bike Share Program runs in the late spring and early fall.

MCLA Shuttle
The College offers a complimentary shuttle around the North Adams area. The MCLA
Shuttle provides a schedule for a North Adams loop and round trips to the Berkshire
Mall on particular days.

Berkshire Rides
“Dedicated to removing transportation barriers,” Berkshire Rides helps people get to
work, job training, internships, student teaching, employment counseling, and
interviews. It operates 4:00 a.m. - 12 midnight, 7 days a week, including holidays.

Bus - Local and Regional Bus service
“B” Bus - Berkshire Regional Transit Authority’s “B” Bus provides weekday service
from 6:15 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Saturday service from 7:30 a.m. - 6:20 p.m.
throughout Berkshire County. MCLA’s “B” Bus stop is located on Ashland Street
behind the Flagg Townhouses.

Peter Pan Bus - Peter Pan provides bus service from Williamstown to Pittsfield. This
bus continues onto New York City through Connecticut or connects to buses to
Springfield, MA or Albany, NY. The MCLA Shuttle provides service to the Williams
Inn (the Peter Pan Bus stop) on Friday afternoons and Sunday evenings. BRTA’s
“B” Bus and local taxis provide service from MCLA to the Williams Inn at other

MassRIDES
A Massachusetts statewide travel options program, MassRIDES provides information
about carpooling, bicycling, walking, and public transportation. MassRIDES partners

Train
Amtrak provides train service to and from Boston, MA; Springfield, MA; and Albany, NY
at Pittsfield’s Intermodal Center. MCLA does not provide transportation to or from the
Intermodal; however, students may take a taxi from the Intermodal to the Berkshire
Mall to access the MCLA Shuttle for a return trip to campus during regular shuttle
