Required documents for exchange students

Original copies of diplomas with certified French
translation

Level B1 in French language accepted in specific study fields
(Sciences, technology)
Otherwise B2 level recommended in French language for all
other study fields (or even C1 for Law)

For non-European students : a registration process must be
completed with the OFII (Immigration and Integration office)
within 3 months of arrival in France to get the visa validation
(+ tax stamp of 58 €)
Insurances :
Health
For European Union students: the students have to
come to France with the EHIC (European health
insurance card)
Non-European students are under the legal
obligation to buy into the student social security
scheme or basic health insurance scheme, even when
they already have domestic health coverage.
Mobility: it is advised to the European Union students to
purchase additional mobility insurance
Accommodation (for all): whether you are living in a
university residence of by a private landlord, home insurance
policy is to purchase after your arrival to cover the possible
damages, theft during the stay

Open to all incoming international student (place numbers
(intercultural exchanges)
may be limited). Each French student mentor is assigned for
2/3 international students to get to know the university’s
facilities/ services and help with everyday life

Disability services
Location: disability service, on the campus within the building
of the “students’ house” (building A6)
Accessible for wheelchaired

Accommodation: university residences for wheelchair
accessible. The disability service is the contact point for the
reservation of an adapted accommodation in university
residences
Library: libraries are generally accessible. Help available for
copying, scanning, borrowing documents) through the
support association “Handisup” (help for documentary
research as well). The disability service may ask to purchase
some digital books. Possibility to have Braille copies. Tables
and toilets fit for wheelchaired people
Learning support: after a needs analysis, possibility of
adapted organization of the lessons (taking into account the
time to access to the building, the tiredness), help for
communication (sign language), loan of specific equipment
(laptop, software), assistance in writing and studying,
pedagogical mentoring
Assessments: extra time for examinations, personal
assistance available if needed, use of PC, depending on the
disability, possibility of vocal examinations instead of writing
(or the contrary)
