These are Emails addressed to you that have been classified as SPAM, and therefore prevented from arriving in your Inbox. • A link to MXLogic which opens the MX Control Console of Quarantined Messages Page 2 of 16 MXLogic Email Filtering Thursday, July 13, 2006 Slide 3 MX Control Console of Quarantined Messages opens to the Quarantine Tab by default. **Currently we are only working with the Quarantine and Logout Tabs in the upper right hand corner. The Allow/Deny and Setup Tabs will be discussed and explored in advanced trainings. There is a drop down box that allows you to view quarantined messages from an alternate date. Page 4 of 16 MXLogic Email Filtering Thursday, July 13, 2006 Slide 5 Change the view to 'View All Quarantined Messages' This view allows you to see all the email messages quarantined for the last week. **Any messages quarantined over a week ago have been purged from the system and are no longer accessible. The pop-up window will contain complete addressing information of the particular message. Page 7 of 16 MXLogic Email Filtering Thursday, July 13, 2006 Slide 8 When you hover the mouse over the message subject: A pop-up window will display containing complete addressing information of the message, the same as when hovering over the address. In addition, the subject text will become an active link. Clicking on this link will open the particular email message for viewing. This will return you to the list of quarantined messages. You can select multiple messages by clicking on additional check boxes. Once a message has been selected the buttons Release, Delete, Always Allow and Always Deny will be activated. Page 11 of 16 MXLogic Email Filtering Thursday, July 13, 2006 Slide 12 Whatever operation you choose (Release, Delete, Always Allow or Always Deny) it will be applied to the particular email message(s) selected. Release: This option will send the selected email message(s) to your inbox in Outlook and WebMail. Delete: This option will delete the email message(s) from the quarantined list making the message(s) inaccessible from the MXLogic application. Always Allow: This option allows you to select particular sender(s) of message(s) and override the filter to send all messages from the sender(s) directly to your Inbox in Outlook and WebMail. (If you do not see the message(s) appear in your Inbox, check your Junk Mail folder as Outlook may have classified it as junk mail when it was delivered.) Always Deny: This option allows you to deny delivery email(s) from particular sender(s). Once you have selected this option, messages from the sender(s) will not show up in your quarantined list in the future. Once a message has been selected the buttons Release, Delete, Always Allow and Always Deny will be activated.
