Step 1 Build a table 14x14 using table creation icon in Standard

CREATE YOUR OWN MAZE
Step 1
Open a MS Word document on your desktop. Include a header by aligning RIGHT, type
your name and period. ENTER 4 times after the header.
Click on the INSERT tab on the ribbon. Click TABLE. Click the Insert Table option. Type
14 columns and 14 rows.
Step 2
Highlight your table by clicking and dragging your entire table. Click on the HOME tab on
the ribbon. Click the Line Spacing icon
Double space by selecting the 2.0 option.

Click on your table and choose the LAYOUT option from the Table Tools tab on the ribbon .
Click on the Eraser icon
to remove cell walls. Use the Draw Table icon
to add
cell walls.
Make it challenging.
Step 4
Choose where you will Start your maze and End your maze by typing it or selecting a text box.
You may add it anywhere on your maze. Be creative.

You may customize your maze by shading your boxes, selecting different color lines or
changing the thickness of your cell walls by clicking on the DESIGN option from the Table
Tools tab on the ribbon.

Make space to insert a picture by highlighting the area(s) where you want your picture to be and
right-clicking your mouse. Select the MERGE CELLS option to delete the lines all at once.

Add images to your maze by copying and pasting clipart or making a Paint creation and pasting
it onto your maze. Once the picture is pasted, click on the image then click on the FORMAT
option from the Picture Tools tab on the ribbon.
Click on the WRAP TEXT option and select In Front of Text option. Resize your image and
place it on the open spaces.

Step 8
Create a TITLE for your completed maze by clicking on the INSERT tab on the ribbon. Select
the WordArt option. Once you insert your WordArt and type your title, click on the FORMAT
option on the WordArt Tools tab on the ribbon.
Click on the WRAP TEXT option and select In Front of Text. Make sure your title is at the
top of your maze (below the header).
Directions: You can go through the pictures but not the garden critters.

Include directions or hints on how to get through to the end of your maze (for example, can
we go through the pictures? Do we have to go to certain areas first before we get to the end? etc..)
Step 10 When you are done, SAVE your project as MAZE PROJECT into your 1st 9 weeks folder.
UPLOAD it onto the Student Upload icon on your desktop.
INSERT it into your OneNotebook under your PROJECTS tab as a File Printout.
(BELOW your Paint Project).
