Supervision
A responsible caregiver 16 & older must accompany all children age 9 years and younger. The number
of children vs parent or supervisor shall not exceed 4:1. Children who cannot swim 20 feet unassisted or
are using a flotation device must be within an arms reach of a caregiver.
Work to Swim
Youth ages 7-15 can earn free visits to any Tulsa Parks pool by agreeing to do chores around the pool.

Inclement Weather
At the first signs of thunder or lightning, the pool will close. The pool will remain closed for 30 minutes
after the last visible sign or sound of the storm. Patrons can wait in the shower rooms or protected
areas. Please do not congregate under umbrellas or trees and stay away from metal pipes, railings, wire
fences, or other objects that may carry lightning.
Pool Rental
For even more fun, rent Whiteside Pool for everything ranging from a family reunion to a kids birthday
party. Certified lifeguards will be on duty. Available only on Sundays. For more information on rates

Pool Pass
Season Passes are $20 and can be purchased at Reed & Lacy Pools or Community Centers. There also is
a 10-visit punch pass that can be purchased for $8.
Reduced Pass
30-visit reduced pass can be purchased for $10 at Reed and Lacy Community Centers. There is a small
application to fill out to qualify for the pass. Limit of three 30-punch passes for the season.
Fee
A fee is charged for each person entering the facility...includes non-swimmers. 3 & younger are free.
Refund Policy
A one-day pass will be offered to the public anytime there is a problem with the pool and it has to
close. If the pool closes due to inclement weather, a one-day pass will be offered to the public until
4p.m.
Management
Reserves the right to ask anyone to leave the pool area or deny admission to anyone who does not
observe the pool rules or whose actions are inconsistent with good health or safety practices.

Swim Team:
A skill-building developmental league designed for the beginner swimmer wanting to get
involved in fun and friendly competition. Practice held Monday - Thursday at Reed Pool from
9 to 11 a.m. beginning June 5. Meets held on Monday evenings. Cost is $60 per swimmer.

Chuck - A - Duck
Treasure Quest
Pick up a numbered rubber duck from the front
desk, and gather around the deep end. At the
signal, throw your duck towards the floating
rings. Ducks inside any rings win a prize!!
Filled capsules are tossed into the pool,
some will float & others will sink.

Community Spirit Day
Each person who brings 3-non perishable food
items gets in free. Donated food will be given to

Swim - A - Lap Day
Grab a lifeguard at the pool to watch you swim a
lap -down and back- and receive a free pass for
your next visit. (1 per customer) June 6th

Show your support and wear any
Oklahoma team sports shirt and get in free.

All dads get in free when accompanied by their

Parent Child for Ages 6mo –3yrs
Class meets Tuesday - Wednesday - Thursday for 30 minutes
A water introduc on class to get your child prepared for swim lesson on their own.
Parents will sing songs with their child and play different games to work on skills
to ready them for the preschool lessons.
Preschool Aquatics for Ages 3-5
Class meets Tuesday - Wednesday - Thursday for 30 minutes
Level 1 (PA1): Enter & exit water, blowing bubbles, submerging, open eyes underwater, back
float, front/back glide, rollover, treading, alterna ng/simultaneous arm/leg ac on on front,
alterna ng/simultaneous arm/leg ac on on back, safety. Level 2 (PA2): Enter & exit water, bobbing, open eyes underwater, front/back float, front/back
glide, rollover, treading, combined arm & leg ac on on front/back, finning arm ac on, safety.
Level 3 (PA3): Jump into water, fully submerge & hold breath, bobbing, front float, jellyfish/
tuck float, back float, back glide, change direc ons, treading, finning ac on on back, combined arm/leg ac on on front & back, safety.
Learn to Swim for Ages 6 & older
Class meets Tuesday - Friday for 45 minutes
Level 1 (B1): Enter & exit water, blowing bubbles, bobbing, opening eyes underwater, front/
back glide, back float, rollover, treading, arm/leg ac on on front/back, combined arm/leg
ac on on front /back, safety.
Level 2 (B2): Enter & exit water, fully submerge & hold breath, bobbing, open eyes underwater, front float, jellyfish/tuck float, front/back glide, back float, rollover, change direc ons,
treading, finning, combined arm/leg ac on on front /back, safety. Level 3 (B3): Jump into deep water, headfirst entry from side, bobbing, rotary breathing,
survival float, back float, change direc ons, treading, flu er kick, dolphin kick, front crawl,
elementary back, scissor kick, safety.
Level 4/5 (B4/B5): Head first entry in deep water, swim underwater, feet first dive, survival
swim, front open turn, back open turn, treading, breast/bu erfly, flu er/dolphin kick,
elementary back, back crawl, sidestroke, safety. Cost:

childhood drownings!
Admission is $5 per dog
Tickets must be picked up at the
community center prior to the event.
Please no dogs in heat. All dogs must have
current shots and be on leash when
entering or leaving the pool area.
This will be the eighth year to set a
NEW Guinness World Record.
Registration begins at 9:15 a.m.
Swimaroo
Monday, July 10th, at Reed Pool.
Warm-ups at 5:30 p.m.
Races begin at 6 p.m.
Meet is open to all swimmers
from ages 5 to 95.

 Abusive, profane language or improper behavior are not permitted.
 Smoking, alcoholic beverages, tobacco (of any kind), drugs and gambling are not permitted.
 Chewing gum is not allowed.
 Glass bottles and containers are prohibited inside all areas of the pool, bathhouse and restrooms.
 No running, pushing, wrestling or horse play in general.
 Diving is only allowed in water OVER 6 feet deep.
 Depending on bathing load, fins may be allowed. Snorkels are not permitted at any time.
 Animals are not allowed in the pool area. Companion/Assistance dogs are excluded from this rule.
 Individuals are not allowed to enter the pool after it reaches its maximum capacity.
 Somersaults or back dives are not permitted from the edge of the pool.
 Babies must wear plastic or rubber pants with elastic leg bands or swim diapers.
 A child who cannot swim is not allowed in water over his/her head.
 The City of Tulsa Park and Recreation Department is not responsible for any damage to or loss of articles
brought or left at any pool facility.
 Loitering or horseplay will not be tolerated in the bathhouse or at the front entrance.
 Patrons are asked not to visit with guards while they are on duty.
 In the event of thunder or lightning, the pool and deck will be cleared immediately and remain clear for 30
minutes. If additional thunder or lightning is heard or seen, the 30 minute time frame will re-start. We
reserve the right to close the pool for the remainder of the day.
 Fighting will result in immediate removal from the facility.
 Swimmers are not allowed in the diving area unless they meet the following criteria:
 They are known by staff to be proficient swimmers
 They are able to swim the width of the pool in the shallow end.
