Gold Book
Artist of the Fortnight!
As I am sure you have seen in the news, a new Banksy has appeared on a wall in our
town. The piece, called "Art Buff", depicts an older woman staring at an empty plinth
while wearing headphones with her hands clasped behind her back.
Shepway councillor Jenny Hollingsbee said: “This is a tremendous opportunity for the
people of Folkestone to see a Banksy original. It is another reason to be proud of
Folkestone.”
What is the meaning behind the picture? Can you reproduce his latest piece that
appeared on a wall in Folkestone with a short explanation of what you think it
represents?
Give your Banksy inspired artwork to Miss Savage for display.
Watch this space…a ‘Sandgate Banksy’ might be appearing in the school sooner than you think…keep your eyes peeled!

The school football season is well under way and there are
currently 72 children involved in our school’s football club.
For the first time this year we have 20 children from Years 1
and 2 training with us.
This week we sent some of our Year 6 players to the
Shepway trials and we are pleased to inform you that Toby,
Luca and Oliver successfully gained a place on the team and
well done to Alfie and Harry who played exceptionally well,
we are proud of them all!
We have our first match at Pent Valley next week and the
players will keep you updated about their progress.
