As campaigners for all that's right and proper in this topsy-turvy world, we turn our attention to a
disturbing issue - Dad discrimination. Mums get brand new kettles, irons and other domestic delights
on Mother's Day, yet all poor Dad invariably gets is a squishy parcel of impending sock doom
(particularly bad are those polyester ones with little golf clubs on).
We estimate that a trillion poor, defenceless UK Dads are subjected to sock abuse every Father's Day
- a staggering one every nano-second! And that's not right; after all, socks are a right, not a luxury.
We feel it's our duty to redress the balance and help ensure your co-creator is suitably honoured for
the contribution he's made to your life (be nice!).
So here's the rub: We're supporting a local charity with a sock amnesty - We'll accept unwanted
Father's Day sock gifts as currency in exchange for delicious food at Lasan Group outlets - Fiesta del
Asado, Lasan and Raja Monkey. In essence, Dad eats free and unloads his unwanted feet-sweaters in
the process without causing offence to the 'gift-giver' (the irony). What's more, the offer extends
until 19th June to ensure we get as many evil Dad socks off our streets as possible.
