the glass shape should match the style of beer that is
poured into it.
• Choosing the right glass will bring forward the flavours

Glass Shape Features
• The lip of the glass affects where the beer hits on the
tongue.
• The glass opening determines the flow and speed of
the beer as it comes out of the glass; general rule: the
slower a beer flows the greater the opportunity for
tongue and nose to absorb all the flavour components
of the beer.
• The bowl shape influences aroma and head retention.
• The height and shape of the glass influence the colour
of the beer poured into it.
