Our trip to Tesco …
23rd January 2015
We arrived at Tesco and went through the store to the
interview room to put our coats and bags down. Then we
went to security. A man called Ashley told us that there
are one hundred and forty three cameras in the store.
We learnt that they put tags on items to set the alarm off if they try to steal anything.
We put on our aprons and hats and were given clip boards with lots of activities on them.

APPOINTMENT OF NEW YEAR 4/3 CLASS TEACHER
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jason Rees as the new teacher for class 4/3. Mr. Rees has extensive
experience in the field of outdoor pursuits and it was as a result of working with children on residential courses that he decided
to follow a teaching career. He qualified through the graduate training programme after first gaining experience as a teaching
assistant and is currently teaching in Bryn Primary in Llanelli.
It was pleasing to note that there were 28 high quality applicants for the position from which five were short listed for
interview. Each of these presented a lesson to the class which gave us an opportunity to observe them in a real teaching
environment and to see their interaction with the children. On the day of the interviews the School Council prepared a set of
questions and interviewed each candidate prior to feeding that information back to the governors who used that to aid their
final decision. I would like to thank the School Council for the very professional manner in which they carried out this
important task.
Mr. Rees will take up his appointment immediately after the half-term holiday and I’m sure you will join me in welcoming him
to our school.
PACKED LUNCH PUPILS
Dear Mums and Dads,
If your child brings a packed lunch to school, they will be bringing all the remnants of their lunch back home in their lunch box.
This is so that you can monitor what and how much your child is eating of their packed lunch.
