Bring Your Raspberry Beret, ‘cuz You’re Going to Make it After All!
Come for the delicious Purim Feast, and stay for a sure-to-be spectacular Spiel! This year's Purim theme is:
"Bring Your Raspberry Beret, 'cuz You're Going to Make it After All" - a tribute to the artists we lost in
2016. Whether it's Ziggy Stardust, The Kid, Appolonia, or Mary Richards - costumes are encouraged!
New this year, a Mini-Megillah, for those with younger children who still want in on the Purim fun
and make it back home for bed time.
If you plan on joining us for the feast, please be sure to RSVP online (www.shirtikvah.net).
And don't forget about the Purim Carnival following Religious School on Sunday! We will have games, prizes,

Sunday, March 5 from 3:00pm-5:00pm
At Shir Tikvah
Have you found yourself wondering:
What is the difference between sanctuary cities and sanctuary congregations? Why is Sanctuary our moral
responsibility? Are we part of a movement? How are other congregations & synagogues responding? Why is this
happening now? How can I help?
If so, then please join us for a “Teach-In” on Sanctuary Congregations. Co-sponsored by Shir Tikvah Congregation,
Isaiah, and Jewish Community Action. All are welcome.

Guest Speaker, Jessica Fishman
Friday, March 17 at 6:30pm Services
Having grown up in the Twin Cities in a Jewish and Zionist family, Jessica Fishman moved to Israel
after graduating from Indiana University with a degree in Journalism and Business. She spent her
first few years in the country serving in the Israel Defense Forces, learning the Hebrew language,
and getting acclimated to the country. After developing the popular Aliyah Survival Blog, which
is an irreverent portrayal of an American immigrant’s first years in Israel, she has written a deeply personal, witty memoir about the difficulties, absurdities, and excitement of making a home in
a new country.
She was inspired to write Chutzpah and High Heels: The Search for Love and Identity in the Holy
Land after a life-changing event in Israel. Her goals are to share her experience and inspire
social change.
