Transcendentalism
Website/Wiki Project
What is this project all about?
* You are assigned to one of the following groups you are required to research your information, design and layout your page, and upload all information required for us to learn from your page as well as provide enough proof to me that you truly understand transcendentalism and its presence today. *I will guide you through editing your webpage, but you are responsible for supplying the information for your chosen genre, for your page. I will use the following criteria to create your rubric as well. and What’s Transcendentalism all about again?
Keep in mind, the themes:
SELF RELIANCE: "Trusting of one's own instincts," "Shunning what society makes
us do, doing our "own thing" and finding pride in our own accomplishments by doing,
rather than just talking about doing something!!.
LOVE and KINSHIP WITH NATURE: To see ourselves in an equal relationship
with the natural world. ("occult relationship") Since nature is "divine" and we are part of
it, so are we divine, body and soul. Nature is not to be dominated, but admired and
respected as it brings us peace of mind and soul, away from a materialistic and cruel
world.
What do we have to put on our page??
