Agency Relations Coordinator Worcester County Food Bank (WCFB) believes that food is a fundamental right of all people and that hunger is an issue of social justice. WCFB’s mission is to engage, educate, and lead Worcester County in creating a hunger-free community. To that end, WCFB annually collects over 5 million pounds of perishable and non-perishable food and distributes it through a network of 131 Partner Agencies, including food pantries and community meal programs; trains Partner Agencies in food safety; and advocates for systemic and sustainable solutions to support children, families, and senior citizens in being more food secure and healthy. Job Summary The Agency Relations Coordinator is responsible for customer service and support to the WCFB’s Partner Agencies. The position helps Partner Agencies maintain their compliance with WCFB Partnership Agreement, provides training around food safety and best practices in food distribution and referrals to food and nutrition resources, and collaborates with Partner Agencies in the WCFB’s mission to create a hunger-free community. This is full-time position reporting to the Director of Operations. Occasional evening and weekend hours required. Responsibilities Serve as the dedicated contact for WCFB Partner Agencies in general and specifically around accessing and distributing food resources. Provide ongoing technical and operational assistance while promoting effective communication between Partner Agencies and WCFB, including monthly e-newsletter and Partner Agency resource table. Maintain Partner Agency database, agreements, files and data collection system. Conduct regular site visits to Partner Agency programs according to Feeding America guidelines. Conduct monthly orientation meetings for Partner Agency Representatives. Contribute to regular Operations Team Meetings and Staff Meetings. Organize Partner Agency events such as the Spring and Fall Hunger-Free Network Meetings and an Annual Partner Agency Conference. Collaborate on seasonal and/or special projects with Operations, Development, and Advocacy Staff. Represent WCFB at Partner Agency events and related community events. Obtain and maintain ServSafe certification. Assist people seeking food assistance over the phone and in person. Other duties as assigned by Director of Operations. 1 Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 3 years of experience providing customer service and working collaboratively in the nonprofit sector or comparable environment. Valid MA driver’s license and reliable transportation. Demonstrated experience working with people from diverse communities and economic backgrounds. Willingness to work occasional evening hours for Hunger-Free Network Meetings and other agency-related events. Willingness to travel locally and regionally for meetings and as needed for national conferences. The ideal candidate will have: o Strong leadership ability and communication skills. o Strong attention to detail. o Strong computer and technical skills, including a willingness and ability to learn and utilize new technology. o Ability to work with data on hunger and food insecurity and effectively present information to WCFB staff, Partner Agencies, etc. o Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. o Bilingual ability (Spanish/English) o ServSafe certification o Understanding of and commitment to ending hunger, food justice and food systems work. o Enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
