System Requirements
Avery Wizard 4.0.2 for Microsoft® Office - System requirements:
Operating System: Microsoft® Windows® 8 (not RT), Windows® 7
Servicepack 1, Vista®, XP, 2000
Application: Full versions of Microsoft® Office 2010 (32 or 64 bit
version), 2007, 2003, XP or 2000
(not compatible with Microsoft Office Starter 2010)
Disk space: 40 MB available disk space
File size: 24,5 MB
Installing the Avery Wizard From the CD
After you have put the disk in the computer you
should get the following screen.
Select “Swedish or English” depending on
your language preferences, then click OK
Now Click Install Avery Wizard

The Wizard will now start the installation of the
Wizard
Click Next
You will need to click on the “I Accept” option
in order to continue with the installation
Type your name into both the User and
Company name Leave the option as “Anyone
who uses this computer” then click Next.

The next page is where the Wizard will install
to. You can change this option but it is better
to leave this as it is.
Click Next.
Leave the options as they are and then click
Next.
The Wizard is ready to install now click Next to
start the installation.

The Wizard will prepare to install.
You do not need to register the Wizard so in
this case select No.
Now Click Finish
When finished Microsoft Word should now
open.
If you get a Security Warning click the Options
Tab.

You will need to make sure that you select
TRUST ALL DOCUMENTS FROM THIS
PUBLISHER now click OK. Close down Microsoft
Word and then restart Word
You should now have an Avery option across
the Toolbar select this and then click the Avery
Wizard icon to open the software.

Avery Wizard Using Microsoft Word
This is a simple step-by-step guide showing how to use
the Avery Wizard in Microsoft Word
Open Up Microsoft Word and Click The Avery
Tab
Click on the Avery Icon that has now
appeared.
The Wizard will now open click on the Next
Button

The Next screen allows you to select the label
that you wish to use.
Type the product code into the search box and
then click Search.
Then click Next.
You will now have the choice of 4 options.

Firstly we’ll follow Option A.

Leave the “Create a sheet of Identical
Labels selected” and then click Next

The label is ready for you to enter your
details onto

Type in the information or address onto
the label and when finished click on Next
You now have the option to either print
preview your labels or to click on finish to
take the labels into a Word document ready
to be printed.

You will now get a page of labels all the

Now we will follow Option B
Select the “Type Many Different entries on a
sheet”
Then click Next.
Type in the Information onto the first label
then on the Page Layout of the labels click
the next label. Once you have typed onto
all the labels click on Next.
Once again you will have the option to
either print preview your labels or to click
on finish to take the labels into a Word
document ready to be printed.
Please click on Finish

You will now get a page of labels all different.
These are now ready to be printed.
Now we will follow Option C
Select the “Merge data from an existing data
file”
Then click Next.
You now have the Option to select either an
Access, Excel or Word Database by clicking
on the corresponding tab.
Alternatively you can browse for your
database by clicking the Browse Tab
In this instance we will select the Excel
Option.
Click the Excel Tab

Select where your database is saved and then
click open.
If this box appears select Sheet1$ then click
OK.
The label screen will now appear and to the
right you will see the Field Names.
Add the fields to the label as required by
clicking add field to Layout.
Once you have entered the fields click Next.

Once again you will have the option to either
print preview your labels or to click on finish to
take the labels into a Word document ready to
be printed.
Please click on Finish.
Once the Word Document comes up. The
Labels will be ready to print.
Now we will follow
Option D
Select the “Create a new data file, then
merge from it”.
Then click Next.
The Save As box will appear and you will need
to give the database a name and then click
Save.
You will now need to enter the Addresses into
the corresponding fields and when you have
filled in the first one click on Add new to type
the next address in.
Once you have finished all the addresses click
Close.

The label screen will now appear and to the
right you will see the Field Names.

Installing the Avery Wizard From The Web
Start By Opening Up The Internet Page On Your
Computer, and Go To
www.avery.se/www.avery.fi/www.avery.is
Place your Mouse over the Templates and
Software tab. Then select Software.
You will then see Avery Wizard for Microsoft
Office in the software list on the page. You
have two language options, a Swedish
version and an English version. Select the
version you prefer to install. Click download
to begin the installation.
A box like this will then appear, simply wait or
click the link shown by arrow to begin
download

A box will then appear saying run, save or
cancel. Click save.

Save the file to either the My Documents or
desktop option on your computer.
The Download should now start.
When this has finished downloading click on
close.
Now Locate where the file was saved to and
Double click the installation file

The Wizard will prepare to install.
On the following screen click Next
Select the I accept option and then click Next

Leave the option on Anyone who uses this
Computer and then click Next
Leave the destination folder as it is and then

Now Click Install
The Wizard should now start installing
Once this has completed click Finish
Microsoft Word will open with a message. You
should now have the Avery option across the
Toolbar.

Creating a Sheet of identical labels in the Avery Wizard
This is a simple step-by-step guide showing how to use

Adding an Image in Wizard
Open up Microsoft Word and click the Avery
tab
Click on the Avery Icon that has now
appeared.
The Wizard will now open click on the Next

Click the Insert Clip Art icon
You will now be able to select where you
want to load the clip art from.
Select your image then click on insert.
Your Image should now be on the label.
Click on the Image to resize or to move this to
the desired position.
Add the text to the label and then when you
have finished click Next.

Creating a Barcode
Open up Microsoft Word and click the Avery
tab
Click on the Avery Icon that has now
appeared.
The Wizard will now open click on the Next

Double click the Barcode on the label and you
will get the following screen.
Type the barcode number into the Encoded
Message box.
Now Click on the Symbology Tab to select your
Barcode format.
For this we will use EAN 13. Please ensure that
you deselect the Calculate Check Digit option.
Click on OK
You should now have your barcode
showing on the label. Adjust this to the
size that you require

You can now either select Print Preview to
check your design or click Finish to take

Merging data from an existing Excel file in the Avery
Wizard
Open Up Microsoft Word And Click The Avery
Tab
Click on the Avery Icon that has now
appeared.
The Wizard will now open click on the Next

Creating a new data file and merging it in the Avery
Wizard in Microsoft Word
Open Up Microsoft Word and Click The Avery
Tab
Click on the Avery Icon that has now
appeared.
The Wizard will now open click on the Next

Open up Microsoft Excel and then open
your Excel Database.
Highlight all of the fields.
Click on Add-Ins then click the Avery Icon
that has now appeared.
