This year we have recruited some specialist teachers
for some of the curriculum areas to ensure all pupils
receive the best opportunities in all subjects. Ms Holt
specialises in French, Mr Prieskienis in music and Mr
HarringtoninP.E.
We also welcome three new teaching assistants this
year:MsBushellandMsSamateh.Weknowthey’llbe
givenawarmBoxgrovewelcomeandweareexcitedto
havethemjoiningouroutstandingteam!

leadershaveacrossbothschools.Thismeansin
additiontoBoxgrove’sseniorleaders,youwillalsoget
toknowsomeofKidbrookePark’s(KPPS)senior
leadersiftheyaresupportingbothschoolsina
partnershiprole.KidbrookePark’sseniorleadersand
theirkeyresponsibilitiesare:

Overthenextcoupleofweeks,wewillbeinvitingall
parentstoacoffeemorning,whereyouwillbeableto
meetandgreetsomeoftheseniorleadersthatwillbe
supportingusfromKidbrookeParkPrimarySchool,
whilstenjoyingsomecoffeeandcake!
As always, there will be senior leaders present on the
gates and in the playground at the beginning and end
of each day. This is a great opportunity to catch us if
there is any information you need to pass on. When
the bell goes at 9.00am the main gate onto Boxgrove
RoadclosesinordertoallowthechildreninKeyStage
One to get safely into their classrooms. Please
rememberifyouwouldliketoleavetheplaygroundas
soon as the bell goes, please leave via the side gate
throughthestaffcarpark.Ifyouwouldprefertoleave
through the main gate, you will need to wait on the
playgrounduntilallthechildrenareintheirclassesand
thegatehasreopened.Thisalsomeansthatparentsof
KeyStageOnechildrendon’tneedtowalkdownwith
their classes as they will be able to see that they are
safely in their classroom before the gate reopens.
Hopefully this will allow all children to safely and
calmly make their way into class and allow parents to
leave the school site quickly and easily. Your cooperationinthismatterisgreatlyappreciated.
Itiswonderfultoseeallofthechildrenlookingso
smartintheirBoxgroveSchoolUniforms.Childrenwill
beregularlyawardedhousepointsthroughouttheyear
forwearingtheircorrectschooluniform.Therehas

Pleaseremember,wedoaskyourchildwearseithera

topurchaseanyoftheotheritemsneededfrom
supermarketsorclothingstores.Incaseyourchild
misplacesanyitemoftheiruniform,pleaseensure
everyitemhastheirnameonalabel,sowecan
efficientlyreturnitemstoyou.
Parkingneartheschoolisseverelylimitedandmostof
our families live very close by, so if at all possible
please walk your child to and from school. If you do
needtodrive,pleaseparkyourcarresponsibly,making
sure you are not blocking driveways, or parking on
private property. Your co-operation is greatly
appreciatedaswhenpeopleparkillegally,itmakesthe
area more dangerous for our parents and children, as
wellasdisruptinglocalresidents.
Aswestartthenewacademicyear,pleaseremember
tobringinanyprescribedmedicationyourchildmight
need.Allmedicationmusthaveaprescriptionlabelon
itandcomeinthroughtheschoolofficeasthereis
somepaperworkyouneedtocompletebeforewecan
legallygiveittoyourchildinschool.Anyqueries,speak
