Exemplar answer (level 3): The Author is trying to teach me about working hard to overcome obstacles in life. Jackie Robinson had to work very hard at
becoming a good baseball player. It was not easy for him and he had to overcome the obstacles that he faced in life. People did not believe in the “Robinson
Experiment” and they were mean to him. Jackie Robinson did not give up and quit, he worked harder and overcame the obstacles such as people kicking him
and writing threatening letters to his family. Because of his hard work, he became the Rookie of Year and won six National League Pennants. Jackie
Robinson’s hard work paid off because he was inducted into Baseball’s Hall of Fame.
