1. Hazardous material abatement. Under section 1. General Project Information, there is a
statement that the project will “address the removal of hazardous materials including
lead paint and asbestos”. Does this work fall under the Design Professional’s (DP) SOW
or the BOR and/or ABAC?
RESPONSE: We have a full Hazardous Materials survey that will be shared with the
selected firm.
2. Hazardous material abatement procuring and contracting. This question is based on the
response provided in the question above. If the hazardous materials abatement falls
under the DP’s SOW, will the BOR reimburse the cost to the DP for procuring and
contracting this service?
RESPONSE: The Hazardous Material abatement, procuring and contracting, will be
contracted through ABAC.
