the new individual achievement plan for Royal Ambassadors®. The RA Trek Leader Guide and both Member Log books
will be available in July 2014.
So why RA Trek?
The ultimate goal of RA Trek is to help boys dig deeper into missions. As a leader, you’ll find in these resources a strong
mix of individual and group activities, simple activity plans, and a strong emphasis on spiritual growth, missions, and
ministry. RA Trek projects will create an even more enjoyable experience for RA members.

RA Trek is an optional plan to help boys in grades 1–6 personalize
and reinforce the missions concepts they learn during regular
RA chapter meetings.
How RA Trek Works

Boys may work on RA Trek during the fourth RA session of every month, at home, while
taking part in a special RA Trek event, or at any other time and place during the year.
RA leaders are responsible for guiding boys through RA Trek. Each boy can work with his leaders to select his activities
from those suggested in the RA Trek Leader Guide. Although RAs may work together on some activities, each RA must
record his personal growth and reflections in his grade-level RA Trek Member Log.

With more than 100 pages of resources, the RA Trek Leader Guide is the essential guidebook for RA leaders seeking to
lead boys in grades 1–6 through the individual achievement plan. The guide includes suggested activities, useful forms,
award information, “How to Lead RA Trek,” and more.

RA Trek Member Logs
The two RA Trek Member Logs are customized to the appropriate developmental level of boys—from first grade
through sixth grade, divided 1–3 and 4–6. Each book encourages spiritual development and allows RAs to complete
the requirements for every activity. Each book becomes part of a boy’s personal history of his missional growth.

RA Trek Awards
Each boy’s accomplishments during the RA Trek are worthy of recognition. That’s why WMU®
has created two new RA Trek patches and six chevrons.
Each of these iron-on patches corresponds with stages met in RA Trek. When an RA begins his
first Trek, he will be awarded the Jr. Ambassador or Ambassador patch, depending on his grade
level. Upon completion of each individual Trek, the RA will be awarded the grade level Trek
chevron.
