Day 04 - 06: Rio de Janeiro – Manaus

Check out after breakfast and depart for the airport to catch your flight to Manaus, the capital city of the state of Amazona
in northern Brazil. Upon arrival in Manaus, you will be met by our representative and taken to the port.
Package 1: Board the Iberostar Grand Amazon and sail down Rio Solimões. Watch the sunset on the top deck as classical
music plays in the background. The captain will offer guests a welcome cocktail and proceed with a presentation of the
equipment on board, including safety procedures.
Package 2: Iberostar Grand Amazon – Deck Acara Double Room, with all meals at the Kuarup Restaurant. Pay a visit at
the home of a Caboclo (local) in the region of Lake Janauacá to get to know their way of life and customs. Try piranha
fishing in the region of Manaquiri. Go on a boat ride to observe local flora and fauna, spot alligators and listen to the night
sounds of the Manaquiri region. Return to the port of Manaus and check out.
Day 07: Manaus – Iguazu (Iguacu)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be taken to the airport for your morning flight to Iguazu. Upon arrival, you will be
transferred to your next hotel, where you will spend the night.
Day 08: Iguazu
Enjoy a 3-hour Brazilian Falls tour after breakfast. Visit the Iguazu National Park and walk along a winding trail towards
the falls, populated by contis and long-tailed raccoon-like creatures that enjoy being pampered and fed by tourists. At
the end of the trail, take an elevator to gain access to a viewing platform at the foot of the falls. Spend the night in Iguazu.
Day 09: Iguazu – Departure
After breakfast, check out and head to the airport for your onward flight.
Day 01: Welcome to Rio de Janeiro
Upon arrival in Rio de Janeiro, you will be met by our representative and taken to your selected hotel. Check in and spend
the rest of the day as you please.
Day 02: Rio de Janeiro
After breakfast, drive to ‘Praia Vermelha’ (Red Beach) and take the two-stage car up to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain
(270m), which grants access to Rio’s harbour and Guanabara Bay. The Italian-made cable car holds 80 passengers and each
stage takes about two minutes. The first stage is Morro da Urca (170m) with a restaurant, amphitheatre and helicopter
point. The second stage goes up the Sugarloaf itself, thus named for its resemblance to the loaves of sugar used by the
Portuguese at the time of the city’s discovery.
Day 03: Rio de Janeiro
After breakfast, make your way to one of the older parts of Rio called Cosme Velho, where you can take the train to the
Corcovado Mountain. Once you reach the Cosme Velho, take a Swiss-made cogwheel train to climb the mountain from its
15m base, almost all the way up to its summit at 710m. To reach the peak, you will climb a flight of steps that reaches the
base of the Christ the Redeemer statue. The statue, covered with a mosaic of soapstone, is one of Rio’s finest Art Nouveau
monuments. You will be taken back to the hotel, where you will once again spend the night.

Enjoy a 3-hour Brazilian Falls tour after breakfast. Visit the Iguassu National Park and walk along a winding trail towards

Day 02: Rio de Janeiro
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. The combination package includes a tour of Corcovado and Sugarloaf Mountain, followed
by lunch. You will then be picked up, and taken via the Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas (lagoon) to cross the Rebouças tunnel, a
2.6km long complex that links the southern and northern parts of the city. This makes Rio de Janeiro the only city in the
world to have a national park just 5 minutes from downtown. Once you reach the Cosme Velho district, tour members
will take a Swiss-made cogwheel train to climb the mountain from its 15m base, almost to its summit at 670m. To reach
the peak, you will climb a flight of steps that reaches the base of the Christ the Redeemer statue. The statue, covered with

Day 03: Rio de Janeiro

Day 04: Rio de Janeiro – Foz Do Iguaçu
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be taken to the airport for your morning flight to Foz Do Iguaçu. Upon arrival, you will
be transferred to your next hotel, where you will spend the night.

Day 06: Foz Do Iguaçu – Buenos Aires
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, followed by an early start to get into Argentina. Upon crossing immigration, traverse the
Tancredo Neves Bridge over the Iguassu River, which separates Argentina from Brazil. Once in Argentina, go on a scenic
highway up to the Argentine Iguassu Park. Visit the Argentinean Falls at Porto Canoas, which will provide you access to
the awe-inspiring Devil’s Throat, the largest of the Argentinean Falls. On the way back, stop by the ‘three borders’ where
Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay meet. You will then be transported to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires.
Day 07: Buenos Aires
The Buenos Aires City Tour will take you on an unforgettable route that lets you live the porteño magic that can only
be found in Argentina’s capital city, also known as the Paris of South America. Visit the glamorous neighborhoods of
Recoleta and its most famous cemetery, Palermo; May Square and the Pink House; the Metropolitan Cathedral; the
newest and trendiest Puerto Madera area; and many other iconic buildings and palaces of unique architectural, historical,
and cultural value. Your tour will be capped off with a visit to the first settlements of the city of Buenos Aires. Visit the
picturesque neighborhood of San Telmo, residence of the porteño aristocracy until the end of the 19th century, and
where the renowned antiques market is held every Sunday – Caminito Street. Stop by the colorful, Italian immigrants
neighborhood of La Boca. Enjoy a Tango Show Dinner at Rojo Tango, along with a world-class show inspired by designer
Phillippe Stark. The show features the history of tango – from its start in the cabarets during the turn of the century to the
avant-garde vision of Piazzolla and its now legendary status. You will then be taken back to the hotel to spend another
night in Buenos Aires.

of beef and cereals. Only a few kilometers away from the city of Buenos Aires is a natural environment with beautiful

period and the Revolution.
Visit Mexico City’s National Museum of Anthropology in Chapultepec Park. See the archaeological treasures of preHispanic civilizations, including the Toltec, Mexica, Aztec, Zapotec, Mixtec, Olmec, and Mayan. View the immense Aztec
Calendar Stone. Then visit Mexico’s grandest archaeological site, ancient Teotihuacán (80km away from Mexico City),
built by the Nahua. The sixth largest city in the world in 400 AD, Teotihuacán was mysteriously abandoned 300 years later,
centuries before the Aztec occupation.
Visit the Jaguar Palace and the Temple of the Plumed Conch Shells. See the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon. Walk the
Avenue of the Dead flanked by temples and palaces. After a full day, return to your hotel.
Day 03: Mexico – Puebla – Oaxaca
Your journey toward the Caribbean coast begins on Day 3. Take a morning drive to the historic center of colonial
Puebla, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Puebla is a city with pure, clean air and great quality of life. It is also the city of
the legendary ‘mole’, including the chocolate sauce. Travel further to Oaxaca at the foothills of Sierra Madre. Arrive at
your hotel.

Day 05 : Orlando – Kennedy Space Center
Take a tour of the John F. Kennedy Space Center after breakfast. KSC is the NASA installation that has been the launch site of
every United States human space flight since 1968. Although such flights are currently on hiatus, KSC continues to manage
and operate unmanned rocket launch facilities for America’s civilian space program from three pads at the adjoining Cape
Canaveral Air Force Station. Its iconic Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) is the fourth largest structure in the world by volume
and was the largest when completed in 1965. Located on Merritt Island, Florida, the center is north-northwest of Cape
Canaveral on the Atlantic Ocean, midway between Miami and Jacksonville on Florida’s Space Coast. From 1969–1972, it was
the departure point for all six Apollo-manned moon landing missions using the Saturn V, the largest and most powerful
operational launch vehicle in history and was used from 1981–2011 for all Space Shuttle launches.

Day 04 : San Francisco – Yosemite – Overnight in Fresno/Bakersfield

Day 09: Bryce Canyon – National Park – Las Vegas – Departure

canyon and soaring cliffs is a creation of the Virgin River thousands of years ago. Continue to Las Vegas and head to the
airport for departure.
