Complete the match administration section of the scoresheet. Write down: a. Who the match is between, b. Where the match is being played. Eg: Independence Park, Kazaa Field, Club Hippique, c. What the competition is. Eg: Vila Visuals T20, Independence Cup etc, d. Whose 1st batting innings this scoresheet is for, e. Who won the toss, f. The date of the match, g. The grade of the competition. Eg: senior, U19, U17, U15, h. The round number. 2. Fill in the batting line up. Make sure that the number 1 batsman is the batsman who is facing the first ball of the innings. 3. Fill in the bowling line up. This might only be the two opening bowlers at this stage. 4. Write the time in for batsman 1 and 2. When a Ball is Bowled 1. Does the run count to the batsman or is it a sundry? 2. Cross off the number of runs scored for that ball on the cumulative score. 3. Write the appropriate symbol in the bowler’s analysis. At the End of an Over 1. Add up the bowler’s figures for that over. 2. Check that all the bowler’s figures + byes + leg byes = the cumulative score. 3. Check that the batting total + byes + leg byes + wides + no balls = the cumulative score. 4. Write the total score in the end of over total section of the scoresheet. Cross off the batsman’s innings with this symbol >>. 2. Write down the time out. 3. Write down how the batsman went out and the bowler. 4. Complete the Fall of Wicket section of the scoresheet. 5. Write a ‘W’ in the bowler’s analysis. 6. Calculate the batman’s total. 7. Calculate the total minutes and balls faced for the batsman. At the End of the Match 1. Calculate the total score. Add all the batsman’s totals and sundries. Does this add to the cumulative score that you have marked off? 2. Complete the bowler’s analysis. Write the total number of: a. Overs bowled, b. Maidens bowled, c. Wides bowled, d. No balls bowled, e. Wickets taken, f. Runs scored against the bowler. 3. Add all the runs scored against each bowler + byes + leg byes. Does this add to the cumulative score that you have marked off and the total score that you calculated in step 1? 4. Add all the wides for each bowler. Does this equal the number of wides marked off in the sundries section? 5. Add all the no balls for each bowler. Does this equal the number of no balls marked off in the sundries section? 6. Add all the wickets taken by each bowler. Does this equal the number of wickets taken in the innings? 7. Write the result in the bottom right hand corner of the scoresheet. 8. Have both umpires and captains sign the scoresheet?
