The artificial heart pump is implanted directly onto a
patient’s heart — the left ventricle specifically — to
help it pump oxygen-rich blood to the rest of the body.

Cable exits the
patient’s body at
the abdomen
System controller automatically
determines how quickly blood is
pumped. It also acts as an alarm
when battery power is running low.
