Message from the Co-Chairs
Looking back on 2015, we can see a definite theme emerging from the work we have done, which has made us very
proud. It is our values – the principles that drive us and make up the very foundation of everything we stand for,
which have guided our years’ successes. Focusing on our core values has not only helped us achieve our goals, but
the model that holds these values is quickly gaining recognition in Milwaukee County as one to be replicated. Our
values inspire us and keep us motivated, and are at the forefront of every thought, every action, and every goal we
strive to achieve. You will see that:




Every Change Project completed was tied to at least one value.
Each goal set by a subcommittee was reflective of a value.
Potential Steering Committee members cited these values as the driving force behind their desire to be
involved.
Each Change Agent meeting provided the perfect opportunity to celebrate a value.
This Annual Report shows that each and every value was commemorated.
Sue Clark,
Vital Voices for Mental Health
Mission
To create a community system where the
people seeking help engage in meaningful
partnerships with the people providing help.
Dawn Zak,
Mental Health America
Challenge
Many people seeking behavioral health services
have both mental health and substance abuse
issues, as well as other complex needs.
Goals
Every person and program in the MC3
will become welcoming, culturally intelligent, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented,
and co-occurring capable.
A special thank you to the Milwaukee County Department of Health and
Human Services and the Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division for their
financial support of MC3 activities, meetings, programs, publications and design of this 2015 Annual Report.
A second thank you to Brandon Guendel of Bell Therapy for the volunteer effort in collaboration with the
Annual Report Committee in completing this project.
