PLANNING & IMPLEMENTATION PROJECTS
Heritage Landscapes LLC, founded in 1987, is a national and international leader in effective planning,
implementation and management of heritage places. As a small, high-quality, woman-owned firm, we provide
professional consulting in preservation planning and landscape architecture for historic properties of various
types and scales, from evolved cities to historic sites, from commemorative places to national parks. In our
work we address the full range of cultural landscapes, the combined work of humanity and nature. This
project list is organized into headings, demonstrating a range of expertise in planning, implementation,
management, maintenance, and interpretation of varied cultural landscapes. Valuing authentic places and rich
experiences of them, we employ a range of tools to reclaim and sustain the legacies of historic places for future
vibrancy through preservation and green design. Products take the form of strategic or comprehensive plans in
CLR/CLA/CLI or master plan formats, guidelines, signage, brochures, fund-raising materials, staff and
volunteer information, schematic design to construction documents, management plans, and maintenance
calendars. In this list, the project and location are followed by the original design professionals and/or
development period. In order to avoid repetition the role of Heritage Landscapes is assumed as project leader
when subconsultants are credited. When we serve an interdisciplinary team as subconsultants, the project lead
and our role are noted. Multiple projects for a single historic landscape are noted by title and date. Heritage
Landscapes project credits are arranged with current work first, in reverse chronological order by topic.
