FEATURED SPEAKER – Rollie Fingers
(Born August 25, 1946) is a
retired American Major
League Baseball relief
pitcher. During his 18-year
baseball career, he pitched
for the Oakland Athletics
(1968–76), San Diego Padres
(1977–80) and Milwaukee
Brewers (1981–85). In 1992,
he became only the second
reliever to be elected to the
National Baseball Hall of
Fame. Fingers is also one of
only a few MLB players to
have his number retired by
more than one club
(Oakland Athletics and
Milwaukee Brewers). During
his career, Fingers was
known just as much for his neatly groomed handlebar mustache as
he was for his hard biting sinker.

EMCEE – Jenny Cavnar
Guest Speaker - Simon Flecher
The lure of covering her hometown team, the Colorado
Rockies, brings Cavnar back to Denver after spending five
years in the spotlight in San Diego and Los Angeles. Cavnar is
a familiar name on the west coast, lending her talents to
ESPN, CBS College Sports and host of the San Diego Padres
pregame and postgame shows. Born and raised in Aurora,
Colo., Cavnar is a graduate of Smoky Hill High School and
Colorado State University.
(born February 18, 1962 in Bay City, Texas) is a former
Denver Bronco. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in
the second round of the 1985 NFL Draft. He played college
football at Houston. Fletcher played for the Denver
Broncos for his entire NFL career from 1985-1995. In his 11
year career he recorded a Denver Broncos record 97.5
sacks, two interceptions, and 10 fumble recoveries. He
shares the NFL record for most consecutive games with a
sack with 10. He now owns/operates a local barbecue
restaurant named Whistle Blowers located at 2411 8th Ave
in Greeley Colorado.

MISSION STATEMENT
"Friends of Baseball" is a non-profit organization dedicated to contribute the opportunity for participation in
the game of Baseball…within the City of Greeley & Surrounding Area. Funds are raised from the annual
“Breakfast of Champions” event. Those funds are to update and enhance existing baseball programs, from youth
all the way to college. We distribute funds to make capital improvements, provide on-going operational support,
and to help build additional baseball facilities if warranted.
Friends of Baseball was founded in 1987 by a small group of men that loved the game of baseball and now is
over 25 committee members strong, along with several sponsors in the surrounding area. If you would like to
become a committee member or sponsor, visit www.friendsofbaseball.info and go to the "Contact Us" page.
