RESEARCH SPECIALIZATIONS
My research interests in GIS have allowed me to work on a variety of topics including 1) land use and
land cover transitions through an environmental economic geography perspective, 2) medical
geography, and 3) public health. My current research focus is on the cutting-edge of urban
geography’s research frontier by utilizing innovative and accessible geospatial technologies to
examine community and neighborhood health in America’s post-industrial cities.
