following information on your assigned figure from the Scientific Revolution or
Enlightenment:
1. Full Name (and Pen name if appropriate)
2. At least one image created by you that relates to the person's ideas/
accomplishments.
3. Year of birth and year of death
4. Nationality
5. 1 – 3 Bullet Points that highlight your figures most important ideas,
accomplishments and impacts.
T hese should be short phrases (not sentences)
6. A brief description (150 – 200 word) the person's major ideas, accomplishments
and impacts.
T his must be written using full sentences, be in paragraph form and use your
own words,
7. At least two representative quotes from the person or about the person. (Only one
may be from the unit sheet)
8. List at least two useful web sites with information about the person. Include

B rief Description:
This is where the 150 – 200 word description of your person from the Scientific
revolution or the enlightenment could be placed. Be sure that your description is accurate and that it is in your
own words. The best way to be sure you are getting the information in you own words is to take notes from
several sources and then write you paper from those notes.
Make sure you concentrate on the most important ideas, accomplishments and impacts of your person and
downplay other information. You want to be sure that your description shows that you have learned something
about the person you are studying and that you have done more than cut and paste from some other source. Hang
on to your notes because I may ask you to show me where you got the information that you included in your web
site.
If you create your web site on a word processor you can probably avoid counting each word you type by
using the software’s word counting tool. (Spell check also comes in handy too.) This sample of a brief description includes 186 words.
