jipConnect
jipSystem provides the use of a complex software system for the iPad
which exactly meets your needs. The usage can be extended at any time
by single system modules.
jipConnect is an innovative compression tool which helps you to convert
and transfer your data to the tablet.
jipConnect supports the data format VRML 2.0. You can use data with not
animated geometric elements like surfaces, lines or volumes. The converted
data you can directly load to a FTP server or transfer via Bonjour to your
device.

1. Data conversion
The data format which can be handled by jipConnect is the format VRML
2.0. In this format, we support all geometric information but no animations. If you would like to export a file which contains textures, they have
to be external files, not embedded. The texture files have to be saved in
the same folder then the VRML file.
Select button:
The dialog „Settings“ opens. Under the tab „General“ you can define the
store location for the converted files. By selecting the button „Selection“ you
define a path to a folder. If you don‘t define a path here, the software will
create a new folder in the users home directory.
Select button:
A dialog opens in which you can browse your file system. Please choose the
data you want to convert.
jipConnect converts the files to a format which jipSystem could read. After a
successful conversion, the files will appear in the „Media Center“.
Select button „Delete“:
Files selected before in the Media Center will be deleted.

2. Data transfer via FTP
Besides the conversion of your data, jipConnect also supports you in
transferring the data to your iPad.
Select button: The dialog „Settings“ opens. Under the tab „FTP“ you can provide access
data to your FTP server. Fields marked with * are mandatory and have to
be filled.
Select button „FTP Upload“:
The dialog „FTP“ opens and shows the files and folders on the highest
level of the defined FTP server. By selecting the button „Select“ all files
selected before in the Media Center will be uploaded to the actual level.
You can download these files later to your iPad by help of the import
functionality of jipSystem.

3. Data transfer via Bonjour
The Bonjour service integrated in jipConnect allows the transfer of data
to the Bonjour service integrated in jipSystem. It is presupposed that
both devices are in the same network. Start Bonjour in the import section
of jipSystem.
Select button „Bonjour“:
A dialog appears showing all devices which have started Bonjour for
import. Select the desired device in the list.
Select button „Upload“:
All files selected before in the Media Center will be transferred to the
desired device if the device confirmed the transfer.
