Village Litmanova in Slovakia is at a distance of 11 kilometers from the town
of Stara Lubovna. This village inhabited by only a few hundred families is
almost entirely Greek (Byzantine) Catholic. They are in full communion with
the Pope in Rome and the Catholic Church. Since the 5th August 1990 until
the 6th August 1995 on the mountain Zvir, less than 4 kilometers from the
village, Our Lady kept appearing to two young girls – Ivetka Korcakova and
Katka Ceselkova. Apparitions took place in a hay-barn, in a small room
(2,8 x 4 m). Girls received visits and messages from the Blessed Mother on
every first Sunday of the month, which falls after the first Friday. Before the
apparition both girls prayed at first, then Holy Virgin usually came like from
the fog and she would generally sit on a narrow wooden bench at the wall.
Apparitions on the mountain were accompanied by thousands pilgrims.
About 100 meters from the hay-barn Holy Virgin blessed a well and she
recommended to drink from this spring. According to testimonies of many
witnesses the whole row of miracle recoveries apparently occurred.

Monday, August 3 Newark/ Krakow
Your spiritual pilgrimage begins as you depart USA on overnight
flight. Leaving Newark 8:45 PM flying Luftjhansa Air arriving Krakow at 12:40 PM. Enjoy dinner and movie as you rest up to begin your pilgrimage.
Tuesday, August 4 Krakow
Arrival in Krakow - a city which has strong connections with
Pope John Paul II and the only city in the world that includes
places that cover almost his entire life. Transfer to the hotel and
check in. Afternoon short sightseeing - foot steps John Paul II.
Visit new center “Have no Fear” where you can pray by the relic
of blessed pope. We have time to pray and reflect before returning to our hotel Dinner and overnight stay in Krakow.
Wednesday, August 5 Krakow - Wadowice
After breakfast you will visit Wadowice, the hometown of Karol
Wojtyła. ‘In this city, in Wadowice everything began. Both life
began and my education began and my priesthood began...’You
will see the Basilica of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin
Mary on the market square as well as the old building of the secondary school which Karol attended as a teenager. You will visit
Pope’s Family House, nowadays a museum, which documents
his life and work as a priest in Poland up till the time when he
was elected Bishop of Rome and left the country.You will also
find time to drop in St. Peter’s Church, and try famous papieskie
kremówki, “cream puff cakes”, the favourite cake of the Pope
when he was as a child. On the way back to Kraków you will
pray at the Shrine of Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, which Karol
Wojtyła visited on many occasions.
Thursday, August 6 Krakow - Lagiewniki - Stara Lubovna
Morning depart for our excursion to Lagiewniki, the capital of the Divine
Mercy. Here, in the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy, Sister
Faustyna worked and lived for many years. As we visit the Shrine of Divine
Mercy we will see St. Faustina’s convent chapel and her tomb. We visit
newly constructed shrine of Divinity dedicated by Pope John Paul II on his
last visit to Poland in 2002. Afternoon transfer to Stara Lubovna, Slovakia.
Friday, August 7 Litmanova
Visit Litmanova, Montain Zvir. Experience the beauty and peace of the simple
village of Litmanova. Attend services and prayers. We will pray Stations of the
Cross as we follow the path and climb to the mountain. On the mountain pray
in the room, where Blessed Mother Mary appeared to the visionaries. During
your stay in Litmanova you will have opportunity to share your faith with other
pilgrims. Our local guide will accompany you during your stay to help you understand the history and layout of the village. Our guide will arrange meeting
with visionaries, provided that they are in Litmanova during your trip and pending their availability.
Saturday, August 8 Litmanova
Pilgrimage program usually starts on Saturday at
1:00 PM and finish after midnight mass at 1:00
Sunday, August 9 Litmanova
Pilgrimage program starts at 7:00 AM and finish
at 2:00 PM. Afternoon at leisure.
Monday, August 10 Levoca.
Mariánska hora (Marian Hill) in Levoča is one of the oldest and best known pilgrimage sites in Slovakia . Gothic church received the status of Basilica Minor.
The gracious sculpture of Virgin Mary welcoming pilgrim crowds with open
arms is the most valuable item of the church. There are five chapels along the
pilgrimage route, as well as a lime tree alley that has been named John Paul II
Alley after the Holy Father on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of papal
visit. Levoča and Mariánska hora were chosen by the European Association of
Marian Pilgrimage Sites delegates to become an association’s member.
Mariánska hora has thus been included among such world pilgrimage centers
as Lourdes , Mariazell, Czenstochowa, or Fatima The precious pilgrim, Holy
Father John Paul II, visited Mariánska hora in Levoča on 3 July 1995.

Morning visit Litmanova, attend holy mass and prayer services. Your time in Litmanova is not as tour,
but rather to provide you with time to pray and explore on your own. Late afternoon transfer to Krakow Overnight in Krakow

After breakfast transfer to the airport and return to USA

GENERAL CONDITIONS
PASSPORTS, VISAS & DOCUMENTS
A valid US passport is required for US citizens. If you do not have a valid passport please contact your closest passport office or see Passport Information. Passports must be valid
at least 6 months after return date. If visa is required it is passenger’s responsibility to obtain one. Cancellations due to lack of appropriate documents will incur usual penalties.
DEPOSIT AND REGISTRATION
A $300 non refundable deposit is required at the time of booking with a completed reservation application. Full payment is due 90 days prior to the departure date. If a booking is
made within 90 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking. If deposit is received less than 90 days before departure, please include a $50 late fee with your
final payment. Form of payment: Checks, Money Orders, MJV Travel accepts Pay Pal payments and CC (American Express, Discover, Visa and Master Card).
NOT INCLUDED
Items of a personal nature, such as telephone calls, mini bar, laundry, Beverages or alcohol not included and is not on regular menu (these extra items will be billed to you before
leaving the hotel or restaurant); room service, optional activities, Insurance, portage at airports, excess baggage fees and passport or visa fees.
Tips are not included, but will be collected two weeks prior to travel ($ 9 USD per person per day)
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Once a deposit or partial/full payment has been made, cancellations will only be accepted in writing. Cancellation terms will be applied based on the date that the written cancellation
is received. In addition to a $100 per person administration fee, the following charges apply:
90 - 46 days prior to departure 10%
45 - 21 days prior to departure 50%
20 - 03 days prior to departure 75%
02 days prior to departure or less no refund
Additionally, once tickets are issued the ticket value is non-refundable.
Requests for a refund must be in writing (mail, fax or e-mail). Phone calls cannot be used as a form of cancellation. Refunds will be issued within 30 to 60 days of receipt of written
notice No change of names or substitutions are permitted. No refund or cancellation fees will be waived due to death or sickness.
SEAT ASSIGNMENT
Random seats are assigned for all group participants. If you would like to secure a specific seat, or sit with a companion please advise us of such request at the time of booking, we
will make an effort to accommodate you, however we cannot guarantee. If you must have specific seat we recommend you to be at the airport at least three hours prior to departure
and arrange the seat assignment with your airline's gate agent.
MEALS
Trip includes two meals per day (breakfast and dinners) which are served at your hotel or local restaurants. Beverages are not included with dinners where not indicated. In case you
choose not to have a meal, there is no refund for unused meals. Although we cannot guarantee, we will try and accommodate each special meal request on flights as well as at
hotels. Please advise of such a request at the time of booking. We can not guarantee that special meal/diet requests can be met.
TOUR CANCELLATION BY OPERATOR
Be clearly advised that tour departure may be cancelled due to lack of participation. In such case, MJV Travel’s sole responsibility is to provide a full refund.
MJV Travel in not responsible and does not assume responsibility for any additional costs or any fees relating to the issuance and /or cancellation of air tickets or other arrangements not made through MJV Travel. Cancellations due to state advisories and/or state warnings, Acts of War, War, Terrorism, Acts of God, Natural Disaster or any other circumstance outside the control of MJV Travel, are not the fault of MJV Travel. Great effort will be made to accommodate you to another trip or to revise itinerary, however, cancellation for
any of these reasons will not be eligible for refund.
INSURANCE
We strongly recommend it. A policy will be sent to each participant.
ACCOMODATIONS:
Price is based on double occupancy. Two persons sharing a twin or double bedded room with private bath. When available, single rooms are often smaller then doubles. MJV
travel cannot guarantee roommates. Person taking single room ( subject to availability) must pay a supplement of $ 380.- USD.
FLIGHT TIMES:
All flight times are subject to change by the airlines without advanced notice. MJV Travel is not responsible for such changes or delays and does not reimburse expenses resulting
from such delays.
ITENERARY CHANGES:
Every effort is made to ensure accuracy of this brochure. While you will see all the sites listed, the order of sites and/or days or number of days may be altered, to accommodate
changes in airlines or local conditions.
SPECIAL MEDICAL CONDITIONS THOSE WHO NEED SPECIAL ASSISTANCE
You must report any disability requiring special attention to MJV Travel at the time of registration for any tour. We make every effort to accommodate disabled passengers by reserving for them wheelchair assistance at airports and handicap accessible rooms where available, however, we cannot guarantee and are not responsible for any denial of services by
carriers, hotels, restaurants, or other independent suppliers. Be aware that the trip is operated outside the U.S. where the Americans with Disabilities Act is not applicable and facilities for disabled individuals are limited. Most transportation services, including the touring motor coaches, are not equipped with wheelchair ramps or lifts. We regret that we cannot
provide individual assistance to any tour participant for walking, dining, while in their room, on flight, getting on and off motor coaches and other vehicles, or other personal needs. A
qualified and physically able companion's) must accompany passengers who need special assistance. It is the passenger Traveler's responsibility to arrange for such assistance
prior to making their reservations. Motorized scooters are unsuitable and impossible to accommodate. MJV Travel is not responsible for any medical condition that occurs prior,
during or after the tour. Additionally, airlines are not able to guarantee or provide assistance for disabled passengers including special seating. Pregnancy, Breast-Feeding, and
Pregnant women considering international should be advised to evaluate the potential problems associated with international as well as the quality of medical care available at the
destination and during transit. A pregnant woman is advised to with at least one companion; during her pregnancy, her level of comfort may be adversely affected by traveling.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
MJV acts only as agent for the relevant supplier in securing hotel, transportation and other travel services and in no event shall MJV travel be liable for failure such supplier to render
any transportation, lodging or other travel services to be provided on the tour. MJV Travel assume no liability for injury, death, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which
may occur by reason of any negligent or willful act or omission of any supplier or service. MJV Travel does not own or operate any of the suppliers of services to your tour. Similarly
without limiting the foregoing passengers aggress to hold MJV Travel harmless for any defect in any vehicle, plane, bus, car or other vehicle, act of war or insurrection, terrorist
activity, revolt or other civil uprising, military action, strikes or labor unrest or any Act of God or for any other act of any third party.
