Lawyers1' Luncheon Sees State GOPer Hit Politics in Ed. BLUE POINT — Assembl yman James R. Grover, Jr., termed as "regretable" the projection of education into the political arena. The Rupublican assembl yman , speaking last Friday to more than 100 lawyers at the May lawyer's luncheon of the Suffolk Count y Republican Club , said that politics and school issues should be kep t separate now as they have been in the past. Assembl yman Grove r noted during- his talk on the accomp lishments of the 1961 state legislature that the last two sessions of the legislature had voted record increases in state aid. He mentioned that over one third of the state bud get is set aside for state aid to local school districts, a fact which Assemblyman Grover feels is extremel y significant. During the coming school year , he said , Rockefeller administration will send approximately $800 ,000 to the local school districts and still maintain a balanced budget. The Republican leg islator concluded by saying: "Every membe r of Suffolk County 's team of Republican legislators is aware of the seriousness of the school problem. We have and will continue to fight for a just share of state aid for the school districts of Suffolk County."
