With 2014 midterm elections quickly approaching, it is important that nurses understand the political
dynamics that will impact the election cycle. Mr. Wade Delk (American Society for Pain Management
Nursing) and Mr. Dave Mason (National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and National
Nursing Centers Consortium) will be discussing how to stay informed of the election process and how
potential outcomes may impact nursing and healthcare policy. Attendees will learn how to maximize
political tools, become informed voters, and how to ensure the profession’s voice is heard in the
upcoming election.
