R. L. Stine
“I've had a very sheltered life. What can happen to you if
you stay home writing all day?”
“I've liked scary stuff since I was a kid. My brother
and I used to go to every scary movie that came out.
I remember these... when I think up titles for Goose
bumps.”
While attending the
university, Stine was the
editor in chief of the Ohio
State humor magazine,
The Sundial.
After moving to New York
City, Stine worked as a writer
on the Nickelodeon television
show called Eureeka's
Castle.
He also wrote several
books and magazines,
including the Space
Cadets series.
In 1986, Stine published his
first Fear Street novel, and 6
years later, Goosebumps.
Goosebumps would go on to
be the bestselling series of all
time.

Halloween Party
The novel I read by R. L. Stine is called
Halloween Party, which is a Fear Street
novel. It starts with a 15-year-old boy
named Terry and his friend Nikki, who are
unexpectedly invited to a party. But, it isn't
just any party; the host happens to be the
gorgeous new exchange student, Tasha.
Pretty soon, trouble begins to stir between
the students on the guest list because of
personal differences, and pride.When the
guests arrive at the party it is everything
they could have hoped for and more.
Fantastic decorations and delicious food lay
covering almost every surface in the house.
Little do the guests know, that what may
seem like just fun and games, might
actually be the most terrifying murders on
Fear Street yet. Not everything (nor
everyone) is what they seem, especially
mysterious “exchange students.”
