This year’s fall fundraiser for Indian Lake PTO is a Warrior Walk. Students will have the opportunity to train, set goals,
and participate in a fun fitness event as we raise funds for our school.
RECOGNITION and PRIZES
1.
Every ILE student will participate in the Warrior Walk and will receive a FREE Warrior Walk T-shirt.
2.
Every student meeting their personal goal for number of laps completed will receive a medal.
3.
For each class, the top 3 boys and top 3 girls completing the most laps will be recognized.
4.
The top 10 ILE students raising the most money will be awarded one of the grand prizes (see prize sheet on back.)
5.
Every ILE student that turns in money (any amount) will be entered into a drawing for 1of 5 prizes (see prize sheet on back.)
6.
Classes are participating in various challenges/competitions between classes for total laps completed and monies raised.
7.
If ILE’s goal of $25,000 is reached, the entire school will receive an Ice Cream Social.

Set and record your personal lap goal on the pledge sheet after discussion with your parents.
Write down a list of family, friends, or neighbors who might sponsor you.
Practice by contacting family members first, then friends, and so on.
Instead of a pledge, a set donation or “investment” in any amount is greatly appreciated as well. Like the pledges that are
collected, donations and investments will count toward your total money raised.
Be Courteous. Thank everyone you ask whether they sponsor you or not.
RULES and PROCEDURES
1.
Students should begin obtaining and recording pledges. Be sure to tell each sponsor:
(A)
100% of the funds collected will be used to benefit Indian Lake Elementary.
(B)
What your personal lap goal is, and
(C)
What the prizes are. (On the back of this sheet!)
2.
Pledge sheets are to be returned to your teacher on September 13th (the day before the Warrior Walk.)
The number of laps completed will be recorded on the pledge sheets with the pledges totaled.
3.
Pledge sheets will be returned to the students on September 14th and they should start collecting pledges immediately! Once
a student has collected all monies, pledges should be turned in to the student’s teacher. Pledges and donations must be
turned in by 3:30 p.m. on September 21, 2010 to be counted toward total money raised for prizes and to be entered in
the participation drawing for prizes. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
4.
Students may continue to seek additional sponsors and pledges up until September 21, 2010.
5.
Prizes and Medals will be announced and presented the week of September 27th.
6.
The top 10 ILE students raising the most money will each receive one grand prize. These top 10 students will rank their prize
preference from 1 to 10. The student raising the most money overall will be awarded their first choice. Next, the student
raising the next highest amount will receive their top choice of prize that has not yet been chosen. This process will continue
through the 10th student. In the event of a tie in total money raised, and the same prize is selected, a drawing will be
conducted to determine who selects their prize first.

The top 10 students will rank their prize preference from 1 to 10. The ILE student raising the most money overall will be awarded
their first choice of prize. Next, the student raising the second highest amount of money will receive their top choice of prize that has
not yet been chosen. This same process will continue through the 10 th student. In the event of a tie in total money raised, and the
same prize is selected, a drawing will be conducted to determine who selects their prize first.
