During the month of March, the Preschool staff has planned many fun
events to chase away those winter blues, including the celebration of
Dr. Seuss’ birthday, St. Patrick’s Day fun, and a celebration of our
100th day of preschool!
Language Unit
We will cover “In the City/In the Country” as our curriculum unit
during March. We will also be learning about Dr. Seuss, opposites, St.
Patrick’s Day, and Spring. The following books may be used during class
time and/or available in our classroom library:

Right to Read Week
Royal View students will celebrate Right to Read week during the week of February
29-March 4.
Tuesday, March 1- Crazy Sock Day
Wednesday, March 2- Wear Anything Dr. Seuss Day
Thursday, March 3 Readable Shirt Day
Friday, March 4- Royalton Spirit Day
Dr. Seuss’s Birthday and Read Across America Literacy Night
We will celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday in our preschool classrooms on Wednesday,
March 2nd. Royal View will then hold a Family Read Across America Literacy Night
that evening from 6:00-7:30. Children are invited to wear their pajamas to this
event.
100th Day of SchoolWe have been “counting our way to our 100th day of school.” We will be celebrating
our 100th day of preschool on Tuesday, March 8th.
Wearin’ of the Green Day
Please have your child wear green on Thursday, March 17th to celebrate St.
Patrick’s Day. We will not have green show-n-tell on this day.
Spring Break
There will be no preschool Friday, March 25th through Monday, April 4th due to
Spring Break. Preschool will resume on Tuesday, April 5th.
