I would like to ask web - Standon Parish Neighbourhood

Standon May Day
The Steering Group asked visitors to its May Day stall
what people would like to ask us when they attend
our open day on 16th May 2015. Here is what they
said – what will you ask?
I would like to ask:
…about A120
traffic.
…about controlled
development,
sympathetic architectural
design and amenities.
…about infill
building.
…about
houses –
will they be
private?
…your box is not
big enough for all
the things I want to
ask.
…about how we
control over
development
…about not
counting houses
built before the
[local] plan…
Resident of Puckeridge:
…that you please
do not build on
the flood plain.
The tributary
behind my house is
essential.
…about
shops.
…about Puckeridge High
Street. Parking and twoway traffic make it very
difficult, especially whilst
buses are trying to get
through.
…about development of
neighbouring land.
…about open
spaces. There are
often more open
spaces in towns to
enjoy than in villages.
…about roads and
infrastructure with
extra housing. The
road is already
very busy at peak
times.
Resident of Standon:
…for parking to be considered
i.e. Buntingford Road – near
new development, also parking
on yellow lines making Station
Road/High street difficult at
Crown & Falcon.
…about the effect of new
development on flooding,
transport, infrastructure
and services.
Chose not to say:
