TURKISH AIRLINES
 The "State Airlines Administration" operating




under the supervision of the Ministry of National
Defense has been established on the 20th of May
1933.
The initial budget of the organization headed by
one of the first Turkish aviators Mr. Fesa Evrensev
was 180 thousand Turkish Liras and the
organization employed a total of 24 personnel
comprised of seven pilots, eight mechanics, eight
officers and a radio operator. -The first fleet
comprised of 2 King Birds (having 5 seats), 2
Junkers F-13 (having 4 seats) and an ATH-9
(having 10 seats).
The first international voyage "Ankara-IstanbulAthens" was flown on the 12th of February 1947.
On the 21st of May1955, the title "General
Directorate of the State Airlines Administration"
has been to its current name: Turkish Airlines.
In 2008 Turkish Airlines become a member of
Star Alliance. And Turkish Airlines established
Anadolujet on the 23rd of April, making the
connection between Anatolia and Ankara easier
and more economical.

Turkish Airlines Technic A.Ş.
Turkish Technic offers maintenance, repair and technical support to Turkish Airlines, as well as to more than 100 domestic and
international airlines. Established on 23 May 2006, the company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Turkish Airlines.
 SunExpress
Established in 1989, SunExpress is a joint venture of Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, in which each holds a 50% stake. It is the
market leader in charter flights between Germany and Turkey.
 Turkish Opet Aviation Fuel
Turkish OPET Aviation Fuels, established on 18 September 2009, is a joint venture of Turkish Airlines and OPET Petrolcülük
A.Ş., in which each holds an equal stake. It provides jet fuel storage and supply services at Istanbul Atatürk Airport and other
airports in Turkey.
 TGS
The company provides ground handling services at Istanbul Atatürk Airport, Sabiha Gökçen Airport, as well as other major
airports in Turkey to many domestic and international airlines. TGS is a joint venture of Turkish Airlines and HAVAŞ, in which
each holds a 50% stake, TGS has been in operation since the beginning of 2010.
Turkish DO&CO
 The company provides catering services to Turkish Airlines, and to other domestic and international airlines. Turkish
DO&CO is a joint venture of Turkish Airlines and Austrian originated DO&CO restaurants & Catering AG, in which each
holds a 50% stake.
 TSI Aviation Seats
 A joint venture with the Assan Hanil Group, the company was set up to design and manufacture airline seats, and to make,
modify, market, and sell spare parts to Turkish Airlines and other international airline companies. Formed on 27 May 2011,
stakes of 50%, 45%, 5% are respectively held by Assan Hanil Group, Turkish Airlines, and Turkish Technic.


Sponsorship Investments
 Global sponsorships that focus on brand awareness.Turkish Airlines’ goal
of being a global brand has a direct impact on the company’s general
strategies in the form of worldwide sponsorship activities. The
company’s Euro league sponsorship is highly beneficial in the European
market for example while its sponsorship of Barcelona and Manchester
United, two of the world’s biggest sports brands, represents a major
success.
 National Sponsorships
Although Turkish Airlines is a global airline company in its vision and
international goals, it is also a national flag carrier and this aspect of the
company provides the basis for its effective and productive sponsorship
activities in its home market, which is Turkey. Investments such as prime
sponsorship of the national football and basketball teams and
transportation sponsorship of clubs like Beşiktaş, Bursaspor,
Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, and Trabzonspor.
