Another option!
The Lower Elkhorn Natural Resources District’s Conservation Tree
Program offers a wide variety of seedlings and services to landowners
interested in planting trees and shrubs for windbreaks, living snow fences,
livestock protection, forest buffers, woodlots, and wildlife habitat. You
can use the order form on the other side to order seedlings. Below is a list
of other services available through the Conservation Tree Program:
Tree and Shrub Seedlings  Seedlings cost $22.00 plus tax for a bundle of 25
 Each species must be ordered in lots of 25
Machine Planting Service  There is a charge of $0.75/seedling
 There is a minimum planting charge of $100.00 per project
Weed Barrier Mats - 4x4
 Weed Barrier Mats cost $40 for a bundle of 25 mats. They must be ordered
in lots of 25. The LENRD does not offer an installation service for the mats.
The Lower Elkhorn Natural Resources District (LENRD) does not guarantee the
growth or survival of the seedlings you are purchasing. We do guarantee that the
seedlings are purchased from quality nurseries and are maintained in good condition
at our distribution center. Contact your local NRD office if you have any questions.
The Small Acreage Package is a new option for landowners who want to
diversify what trees and shrubs they plant, but do not need to purchase the
full bundle of 25. In this package you will receive a bundle of 50 seedlings, 10
each of 5 different species:


10 Southwestern White Pine

10 Ponderosa Pine

10 Swamp White Oak

10 Red-osier Dogwood

10 Cotoneaster

The package of 50 seedlings can be purchased for $44 plus tax.

There will be no substitutions for any species.

Limited quantities available.
Please note: The Small Acreage Package does not qualify for machine
planting services. Trees will be available in April. We will notify you
when they arrive.
