Step 1 — Crystal Clear Statement Necklace
STEP 1: Gather Your Materials
TIP: You will be using a Glue
Applicator Syringe in this
project. First time? Check out
our DIY Tips n' Tricks section
for instructions on how to use it.
Step 2
STEP 2: Attaching the lobster clasp to the silver curb chain
Start by opening up one of your small silver jump rings. Slip it through the last link on one
piece of the silver curb chain, as well as the lobster clasp. Then, close the jump ring.
TIP: First time using jump rings? Check out our guide here: Jump Ring Tips n' Tricks

Step 3
STEP 3: Attaching the extender chain to the silver curb chain
Now, open another small jump ring, and add it to the last link of the second piece of curb
chain. Add the extender chain as well, and close the jump ring.
You now have the back part of your necklace complete. You can hook the clasp into the
jump ring, or on one of the extender chain links.
Step 4
STEP 4: Attaching the curb chain to the acrylic pendant
Locate your two large jump rings and open them, placing the first one in the hole on your
frosted acrylic pendant.
Add one of the curb chain strands, and close.
TIP: Attach the chain which has the lobster clasp on the side of your dominant hand.
This will make taking on and off the necklace much easier.
Repeat on the other side to complete the necklace base assembly.

STEP 5: Formulating your creative vision
Here is our favorite part: the blank slate! We always recommend that you lay out your
designs and experiment with a few patterns before gluing anything down.
We've come up with some exciting variations to inspire you, but feel free to think outside
of the box! You can make this pendant as minimal or as decadent as you like.
TIP: Have some beads, stones, sequins, studs or buttons at home? Add them to the
mix for a unique statement piece. You can even paint on the acrylic surface to add an
artistic flair.

STEP 6: Gluing down your components
Once you have established your pattern, you are ready to glue down all your components.
Grab your loaded Glue Applicator Syringe and apply glue to the back of your center
component. We find that it is helpful to establish the center first, so that the rest of your
pattern is symmetrical.
For the navette shaped stones in settings, carefully apply the glue to the border of the
back setting, as shown in photo 1.
TIP: A little glue goes a long way. Apply just a thin layer, and then press the component
gently onto the acrylic base. Any glue that seeps out can be carefully cleaned with a
cotton swab before continuing.
Allow the glue to dry 24-hours for the most secure hold.
