Benefits of pole walking may include: better posture, increased muscle activation compared to walking without poles, and taking stress off the joint to be able to walk more comfortably. This workshop also introduces activities such as stretching, deep breathing, and relaxation. These activities promote body awareness and give individuals with OA strategies for addressing tension and stress in their own body so that they can keep active.
