Can’t Download App
• Ensure that you have a strong signal
• Check to make sure that your device meets our
minimum device requirements

Wi-Fi/Data capable device that runs on a 3G network
1GB RAM
Camera (3.1mp)
Android: OS (2.3.3) or newer
iOS: OS (6) or newer
• Ensure that you have enough memory on your
device to download the app

Sent Photos to the Wrong Work Order
– Notify the person (updater) who is updating the
order in Vendor Web
– Updater needs to complete the following steps:
• Log into Vendor Web
• Go to the order
• Click the “Download Images” button
– Under Order Images or Remaining Images

Open the file that downloads to your computer
Save the photos
Go to the correct work order
Upload the photos to the correct work order
Delete the photos from the incorrect work order

Transmit Issues
1. Check to make sure you have a strong signal
2. What is the status of the order on the
transmit screen?
– New (go to slide 7)
– Invalid (go to slide 8)
– Queued (go to slide 9)
– Failed (go to slide 10)
– Success (go to slide 11)

Photos will not Transmit (New)
• Click Full Transmit

Photos will not Transmit (Queued)
• If photos are stuck in the “Queued” status
– Click the order
– Click on “Reset”
– Hit Full Transmit

Remove Photos from Device (iOS)
• Plug your iOS
device into the
computer using
your USB cable
• Open iTunes
(version 10.0 or
later)
• Select the
“Apps” tab

Remove Photos from Device (iOS)
• Select the Photo Direct App

• Select the “Photos” folder
• Click the “Save to…” button
• Save the photos to your computer

• Plug the device into the computer using your USB cable
• Go to “Computer”
• Double click on the
android device
• Click on “Internal
Storage”

• Double click the Photo Direct Folder

• Double click the “Photos” folder
• Folders will identify the dates. Within each folder are the
images you have taken with the app. Copy the images to a
folder located on your computer to save archived images.

General Tips
• If you experience an issue that was not previously
listed, try one of these tips:
• Restart your Device
– Turn off your device
– Turn your device back on
• Disable Wi-Fi

Turn off Wi-Fi
Wait for 30 seconds – 1 minute
Turn Wi-Fi back on

General Tips
• Reset your Device (iOS)
– Reset the device by holding the sleep/wake button at the top right of
the device and the home button at the bottom center
of the face at the same time.
– Continue to hold them both past the “slide to power
off” message until you see the screen go black and
the white Apple logo appear.
– When the logo appears, release both buttons.
– The device will restart and come back to the lock
screen.

• Manually Close Photo Direct (iOS)
– Click the home button to exit the app
– Double-click the home button
– Hold the Photo Direct icon until it shakes and a
red minus sign appears
– Tap the minus sign to force the
app to close
